"We loved our stay, the accommodation was perfect and it was great to have so much space! The games room and log fires were well used, as was the beach which was great for swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking. The kitchen had everything we needed and the seating area off it was a stunning place to take in the views. Also great to have board games and books to dip into. The local shop was good for extra supplies, and would highly recommend Kames Hotel for a meal out."

"We had a lovely stay at this property in Arran. The house was perfect for our needs and within walking distance of the shops and eateries of Lamlash. The house had everything we needed and we didnt lack anything. Parking in front of the house was fine but care is needed when driving out into the main road due to poor visibility. Beds were comfy. Water was very hot. Conservatory and back garden were very relaxing. All in all a great place to stay."

Lovely place, but under-supplied (certainly by comparison to expectations set by VRBO rentals in the US). As we didn't rent a car, we had to walk to stores to buy certain essentials. Insufficient "self catering" provisions were: four rolls of toilet paper (for four adults, four nights), two dishwasher tablets, no dishwashing liquid, no...

"Friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Lots of choice for breakfast. Recommend surf and turf for evening meal. We stayed in single rooms which had everything we needed and were clean and priced competitively. Hotel is situated directly in front of the bay. "
