Well...if you've rented an older home in the Florida keys Id say this is similar. We enjoyed our time and the home served its purpose. Partially updated home at some point and then forgotten.
PROS: lower Davis Island price point than surrounding vrbos, location, open floorplan w/ split bedrooms for privacy, private parking for two cars, outdoor outlet to charge golf cart, granite kitchen counters, partial waterviews, fenced backyard and dog park nearby for a pet, All beds soft, clean and comfortable memory foam (not firm)
CONS:Bathrooms need major renovation and no counter spaces, showers were very dirty, must use step stool to sit on toilet propped up on an old plumbing box? It was comical.. the throne, a few bath towels for entire house-used a dishcloth to wash face, dead weeds, dead grass, branches everywhere-would NOT go in backyard-, frig falling apart, few plates, no salt/pepper, condiments etc.. nothing. Given one vrbo access code which did not work then see a different code via email from host which did work however lock was not the easiest
Overall, understand this is one of the 1960's Davis island bungalows. It needs some major tweeking and deep cleaning which would bring it up to par in a matter of weeks. Home interior clean and located in prime downtown Tampa Davis Island. Just rent a golf cart nearby and go!! It worked well enough for us. We enjoyed our weekend visiting family. Just have a reasonable expectation for the right price. Thank you
