The hostel is great if you are the type of person that likes to meet new people and do events with other travelers. If you're like me, where you just want a quiet and cheap place to stay, this isn't it. It's not a party hostel, but it's definitely a community type hostel. People were watching movies until really late and the beds would move more than I would like. If I wanted to make friends, this would've been a great place, but I went to Taipei to meet my friends haha.
To quote another reviewer, “it’s like staying at a friends house!” And it is. Though there’s good and bad to staying with “friends”, such as bed being harder than need be and way more worn out than should be, ac being turned off by another roommate in a shared room (not regulated by the management), or shared shower/bathroom for men and women and not separated for all the 10+ people staying there. Things get awkward sometimes. Towels are also Kind of musty. If you get the wrong one your whole face smells like the must, bring your own is always the better bet. And the rooms aren’t noise-free, which is fine. Considering the $7 usd I spent, spend a few dollars more on a newer, more spacious hotel. service and staff were friendly enough though, if that’s helpful.
It’s my 3rd time to come here again this year. the sweetest and warmest home in Taipei ever.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
It was cozy when I stay at basement but the table at ground floor is always occupied by employees. And not so quite after 10 pm sometimes. Others are ok.
This was a wonderful hostel. It was very clean, small enough to meet people if you wanted to, and very quiet at night. I booked a six person mixed room, but my room ended up only having four beds, which was a nice surprise, and they did their best to keep genders separated. The hostel is located pretty close to a small night market, and the area is fun to walk around at night. They also offered a laundry service so you could leave your clothes out in the morning, and they’d be washed and hanging up by night time. I didn’t use it so am not sure if there was a cost associated. All things considered, I would definitely come back and think people who are looking for a place to get a good night’s rest while exploring Taiwan will discover that this hostel will meet their needs nicely.
Friendly staff, friendly guests, international homey atmosphere. Decent location. Short walk to the MRT station and many shops and streets to explore nearby.
