"O hostel é extremamente deplorável, eu saí às pressas, perdi 2 diárias sem o menor peso na consciência só por pensar em ter que ficar nesse lugar. "Poor experience given the price paid which was $30 per night for a dormitory. The breakfast buffet is minimal and dissolved quickly by people who literally thrust it into their bags without any oversight, and from thereon it isn't replenished correctly for all the other guests.The guy responsible for making the breakfast was super rude too. The entire place isn't effectively cleaned either which is sadly the reason why I have to give 1 star. Even with the few negatives expressed, I was itching...

Escolhi o quarto 7 para eu e minha família (mais três pessoas), quarto aconchegante e funcional para nossa estadia de uma diária. Café da manhã farto, com opções entre doces e salgados, todos os alimentos frescos e deliciosos. "Originally booked 1 night and ended up staying for 3. Really wonderful hostel in a beautiful building. Rooms are clean and comfortable and everything works well. The location is fine, if not ideal--lots of grocery stores nearby though not restaurants, 13-min walk from the metro, and centrally located between Copa and north Rio--which I think helps keep the price great. The common areas are quite nice, if not particularly social. Thanks for a great stay."

"Hostel is amazing - provided you are pretty chilled and roll with whatever is happening. Had a brilliant stay, it was the perfect location to explore the city and surrounds; but also for Carnival events. Rooms were comfortable (had air con @ night, but fans through the day) and were fairly quiet. Unfortunately I don't think the room is swept often and the bathrooms got dirty very quickly; likely from a couple of plumbing issues which meant the floor in bathroom usually wet.
