Check out the Great Dismal Swamp, a US Fish and Wildlife Service National Wildlife Refuge; it is remarkable to see such a vast area of natural habitat so close to the Hampton Roads urban area.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Suffolk, & it was great to see that it is clearly a city on the move, w new areas, care taken for public areas, new development— SO much nicer than years ago, when it HAD undeveloped potential. SO nice now!
