"Our holiday via the shuttle got off to a bad start as we had to return home 3 hours into the journey to collect a forgotten vital item. Consequently we arrived at the Marquis of Granby (via a typical M25 traffic snarl up) after the kitchen had closed down for the night. Without being prompted, we were offered soup and cheese board by Silva (the manager). Beer was good and bar staff cheerful. Excellent all round."

"This is, without question, the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Booked last minute due to a late night crossing, and what a find. It’s exquisite, superb food, staff are unbelievable, drink range is great, but the rooms, they are u rivaled anywhere we have stayed for both comfort and uniqueness. We stayed here through chance, but we will definitely be back to spend the weekend and explore the local area. Book here, don’t look anywhere else, it’s fantastic!"

"A wonderful old Inn, expanded some years to provide 13 bedrooms in a delightful and thoughtful ole-world fashion; beware however there is no lift. The staff were incredibly helpful helpful and pleasant. The pub is known locally as The Cherry Brandy House and it is worth having a glass. The Crown is at a busy but very convenient junction but the traffic noise is negligible."

"The room was very nice, the pub is pretty, and the village is pretty. However the listing was misleading - the restaurant doesn't function midweek, and they don't do breakfast either during the week. I was walking, and didn't want to walk more miles to eat. It's not hard to provide a cold breakfast. So make sure you check whether they're doing food if it matters to you. "
