"Perfect location for a layover before or after a cruise (on Holland America especially). The hotel is the former headquarters of Holland America, dating to 1901, and has been lovingly restored with nods to their cruise ship history. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood and access to water taxis and water buses for sightseeing. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and popular with locals. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Rotterdam"
