Old Florida Cottage
We stayed here last year and again this year. The location, easy beach access, pool, covered patio, kitchen, 4 bedrooms are all positives. There are improvements that could be made but in all fairness to property management, if owners don’t authorize or take an interest then there’s not much they can do. We enjoyed our stay.

Family Vacation/Honeymoon
Our family chose this location due to the great proximity to the beach and local attractions. We especially liked the fact of having our own private pool to use throughout our trip. Our son and now daughter in law were celebrated their honeymoon during this vacation. Having the ocean right out your back door was amazing.

Quirks of a 1940’s cottage
A cottage this old will have some quirks. AC had to be added so bathrooms are not cooled/heated-add a curtain to front bathroom to keep the sun/heat out. Bring a fan although one was provided. Kitchen could use some additional amenities but appliances are fairly new. Clean the coffeemaker (no pod coffee maker available) and turn the refrigerator door around. Pool, back porch, and location are great! (Clean up all the discarded beach and pool items, outdoor shower needs attention) 4 adult, 2 kids. We didn’t have to use the squeaky bed. The ones we did use slept well. AND, we would stay here again! Not enough ‘quirks’ to keep us away.

A/C broken - otherwise a decent stay in every other regard.
I've never been the one to leave reviews for places that I stay at, but the experience my family and I had here was worth putting down for others to see. My family and I had to endure a faulty air conditioning system for a full week in Florida heat that was always 90 degrees and up. Upon arriving at the place, we immediately took notice to the thermostat showing 78 degrees. The first thing we did was put it down by 4 and never touched it for the whole trip. To our surprise, the thermostat would never change, and it actually went UP to 79 degrees. We called the NextHome Beach Time Realty (the company who overwatches operations and guest requests for this property) and they replied almost instantly on the first day. We had a technician get sent over the following day, and still nothing- the guy was not able to get anything fixed and we still had to endure an extremely hot household during Florida heat for a whole week. If it wasn't for the fans in every bedroom, I would've requested a refund and returned home. This is mainly a bigger complaint due to now having a 5 month old baby with us who now also had to deal with an air conditioning system not working during peak summer heat like this. For the 40 years my family and I have been renting condominiums and beach houses every summer, it's always been a pleasant time. I hate having to write a bad review, but I would also hate for people outside of the state to come to this beach house and then have to suffer in the heat.

Perfect for family and friends. All day beach fun.
Good size, clean, perfect beach access, walking distance to John's Pass, pool was very nice. One thing we noticed that needed cleaned were the blinds in the kitchen and the little ledges on the cabinets. Overall very nice. We would stay again.

Girls trip
Great location. We could walk half a mile either direction for restaurants, shops, bars or just stay put and relax poolside or on the beach. One day we hired a mobile masseuse and had a massage on the covered deck. We look forward to a return visit.

It’s not fancy but the beach was amazing Walked to dinner and shopping. Pool was great once we found the heater. Had a couple hiccups but management took care of it for us promptly

Great House!!
The house was great, we loved our stay! Two silly minor things, simple fixes 1- Outdoor shower not working 2- No outdoor lights made it difficult at night sitting out there. I do realize yellow lights have to used to protect the turtles. But overall thumbs up for this property!!!!!!!!!!

Great Location
This house is a perfect location. The pool is a big advantage to this home. The house is in need of TLC. We arrived at the property at 3:55 p.m. with a car full of groceries. When we arrived the cleaning people were still there so we waited on the porch some of us in our cars with the cars running to keep the groceries cool. We were told they were delayed due to maintenance being there. They finally finished at 5 p.m. and we were able to get in. I called to discuss this with the property manager once while we were there and once after I returned home and I still haven't gotten a response from them. Like I said the house definitely needs some updates but overall it was satisfactory. I was also going to inform the property manager of the ant problem they have in the house but like I said no one called me back.

Exellent Stay & Location
We had an absolute amazing time! There was 7 of us and we all had our own rooms and it was spacious. Location was outstanding, property was clean. Having a washer/dryer, pool, a sunset view that is amazing, crockpot, parking right in front of the house and no elevators meant for an easy vacation. The only things I would suggest adding / changing is: newer beds (very squeaky), upgraded beach chairs (luckily we brought our own which was a smart move) and a couple more pots / pans for cooking. With only 1 small frying pan it was difficult for breakfast sometimes. Those are minor things and easily accommodated. Check in and Check out process was very easy. Hands down would book this again!

For what we paid, we expected more.
While beachfront is great - house had many issues upon arrival: spotty Wi-Fi, (had to wait Thanksgiving morning for Spectrum cable to come fix) one Toilet not flushing properly (maintenance man had to come fix), pool needed more water and temperature turned up (we don't own a pool, did not know until maintenance man had to come and fix) - dining area overhead fan and lamp never fixed. In contract renter has no recourse but owner can say house has all these amenities even if not working. We were happy with response from NextHome, but we never should have had to deal with this on our vacation.

Loved being so close to the beach!
This is a very accommodating location but it is a very old building that has bandaids put on it. Numerous electrical problems including lighting over the dining room table that doesn’t work making it hard to eat after dark. The light in the pool also did not work. Seen many electrical plugs with wires exposed I’m actually surprised it can pass an inspection. The filter on the AC was so dirty the dust was crawling out the vent and they actually did come change that immediately. It was definitely adequate but we didn’t pay what the price now is and I know I would not want to pay that much for this location. Seems the owner is reluctant to invest in his property by the looks of it. They have made some improvements but as I said it’s like a bandaid not a remodel. The rental agency was very responsive and did what they could for us.
