Vintage House Near Downtown & Beaches-Relax by the Fire Pit in Old Florida Vibes

Cypress cottage is nestled underneath our 100 year old twin Oaks very close to downtown Saint Augustine and to our beautiful sandy beaches. It is the main house of our duplex. Cedar cottage Is unique with Mahogany and pine floors, a large spacious kitchen with Butcher block countertops and Sunlight radiating through the double windows. Lots of room to relax. The private front porch invites you into a beautifully restored 1958 vintage style home nestled very close to Downtown St. Augustine. Sleeps 6 very comfortably. The back yard is shared with a fire pit and electric grill and seating. Events are permitted with a nominal event fee if all 3 properties are reserved.

The visit was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Only one area that was noticible in the living room there were droppings, the front door lock needs to be reprogrammed. Everything else was fine.

Fun and comfortable weekend stay.
The house location is super close to the main Hwy we’re lots of restaurants, CVS, Walmart are. Adorable house. Was perfect for us 3 adults. It’s decorated very pretty. The kitchen area is very large. Beds were very comfortable. Only complain we had was the 2 wicker chairs in living room, the sitting area springs are shot, so when you sit you sink in and it’s extremely hard to get out of the chairs. Both of them. Other than that we absolutely loved this house. 10 thumbs up!

The house was very cute older style in a nice established neighborhood. The mattress are worn to the point they need replaced. Limited linens available. Stained towels and bed sheets the most minimal kitchen utensils. The washer didn't work. Notified the owner she suggested that a light load. The water would run in but didn't agitate. But the worst was 2 family members died f I'm a tornado and I asked to cancel under the circumstances. But the owner asked for proof of death certificate..I own 2 vacation homes and would never ask of such a thing. Our family situation was all over the national news. We only stayed over night since we arrived late. Went to local hotel for the rest of our stay. VERY disappointed. St Augustine was amazing though.

House was great. Could have been dusted better - lots of dirt on air vents and ceilings. The mattress in 2nd bed in the bedroom definitely needs replacing. Was all sunken in. Other than that we loved the house and location.

Girls mini vacay
The front door keypad was a little tricky but nothing to get upset about. The house is super cute but old, so it creeks, as you would expect. Rooms are nice size, and the bed were ok. Not complaining about that, just they weren't my bed lol. Neighborhood seemed nice but I was a little nervous about the bar on the corner. No worries cause there were no problems, just wasn't expecting it. Overall loved this little place. Will use again!

The home was very comfortable for 6 women. Short drive or shuttle service to historic district. Local bar with great live music just at the end of the street. Back yard was nice to hang out in. Host was friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Infested with ants
I suppose if you are lucky enough to make it through your stay without the ants invading you, it’s probably an ok place. Nicely decorated but definitely has not been really cleaned in quite a while. Tons of dust on the ceilings and grime on refrigerator door handles. Many of the cabinets were painted shut and one door was missing all together. We could have definitely handled that if it weren’t for the ants. Initially, when we arrived, we dropped off all of our stuff and put some bags of chips and bread and donuts on the counter, went to dinner, and came back a couple hours later. Only to find out that ants had invaded everything. All our food was filled with ants, they were everywhere, crawling out of any crack in the walls. Pull down the comforter, and there were some dead ants on the sheets and many hairs. The sheets looked slept in. I immediately contacted the owner who knew about the ant problem, and said she would come the following day to spray. That was not acceptable. My family would not be sleeping with ants crawling on us. We packed the car back up and left and I informed the owner we were leaving the property, no response. After two hours of calling around and driving to hotels on July 4th holiday weekend, we finally found one that could accommodate us with two hotel rooms that were very expensive. Owner was very unsympathetic, kept saying they were tiny harmless sugar ants. That many tiny ants is not harmless to me. Very bad experience for us.

Nice stay - older property
The property is an older house in an older neighborhood. The house was clean. We had issues getting in but finally were able to get in. The next morning we woke up to water standing in the kitchen floor. The property manager/owner did not respond until 6 hours later. She sent over a maintenance man that night and he made the repairs. Even with the issues that we had; overall we did enjoy our stay.
