"Fabulous hotel in beautiful area. It is peaceful but only a five minute walk to railway and bus station. The room was spacious and had quality furnishings."

It was a private basement apartment which took us a bit by surprise as there is no view but it was more than compensated by the view outside and the meticulous garden and private patio. "Beautifully re-purposed estate. The hotel hosted a large event one night, making the restaurant unavailable; and the noise from the crowd was too loud to sleep until well after midnight. Similarly, the noise from the restaurant on our second night was too noisy to sleep until after midnight. The room is designed in a strange manner that puts the bed up three steps on a platform, and the window controls are not within reach without an unnaturally high step up on another platform against the well. The photo of the pond in the ad is misleading. "
