"My two sisters and I came to Colon to serve as judges at the 2025 MAGIC CITY GRILL FEST (in June) and were thrilled to find a place that offered us convenience, just a few stairs to climb (we're all over 60), cleanliness, airy comfort, decent beds and linens, a cute coffee bar that included a nice selection of K-cups, and a beautiful view of the boat channel to relax in front of on the spacious comfy-seated deck. "The house was very very nice. If You are looking to stay close to a lake that you can walk in, this wouldn’t work. I’m not complaining they are in the process of remodeling but there were things that didn’t work properly. Ants didn’t bother me but they were there in the kitchen. The washer/dryer didn’t work. The price is excellent. But there needs to be repairs and an updated explanation of what is there. I would stay again but I just expected something different when I stayed recently."
