"I really like the hotel and the services. The front desk was especially helpful in helping me plan train transport from Windsor to York. They really went out of their way. Everything was clean and lovely. The only issue I had was that even though I stayed in a non-smoking room, Someone had smoked in the room beforehand. The room smelled of smoke when I first checked in. Luckily, it mostly dissipated after I have the window open for a while."

"We stayed for five nights as visiting family. Very spacious room. Yes the room needs a lick of paint. But clean and lovely big towels. What sells the hotel is that it has really helpful , friendly staff. Very close to town with heaps of shops and restaurants. Also free car park. It has a lovely on-site bar. Only downside no air conditioning and although we had a fan , it was a very hot week for U.K. "

"The hotel is huge and it takes a while to find your way around it. It’s very clean & staff are helpful and attentive. We had a family room and our 12 year old was given a single sofa bed but it didn’t have a mattress so was solid and not fit for purpose but a quick call to reception and they sent a z-bed up which had a mattress so was a lot more comfortable for our son. The bar & restaurants are lovely and quality food and service. Nothing too much trouble. The grounds of the hotel are lovely with areas to sit outdoors for a drink or relax. Overall I would recommend the hotel as a lovely place to stay. We will definitely return. "

"Incredible for the little ones, amenities within the room were fantastic. They absolutely loved the treasure hunt. The room was decorated amazingly and was extremely clean. Just a good score with regard to the adults though, I would have liked to have some biscuits as part of the coffee-tea area as there was nothing with our brew after sitting down a long day. Milk is only just enough for one coffee or tea. Coffee machine made luke warm coffees. Headboard is rock hard would be more comfortable with a softer one. "

"It was very nice overall despite of a minor problem in the air condition in my room . But the staff especially the lady who I have spoken to on Saturday night ( 26/04/25) she was very helpful and considerate. Will definitely come back to this gorgeous hotel. Will probably my choice of hotel in Basingstoke . The gym and pool and sauna are very clean , smell clean and tidy. Deserving of a 5 star rate…."
