Really enjoyed our stay here. Owner was great, the place was quaint, clean and very close to everything. We will be coming back to Savannah and we will stay here again. Strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay! It’s in a great spot, and close to everything in the historic area. The apartment is just as the pictures show. The bed is pretty comfortable (better than most hotels I’ve stayed at). The host was really helpful with lists of great recommendations in the area. And it was so nice to have some refreshments in the fridge. It felt very welcoming and I would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this property was awesome. We arrived around midnight and were able to check-in easily. The floor plan was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with consumables (coffee, yogurt) and equipment (two types of coffee makers, glasses) to make our stay convenient. The owner was super helpful and friendly. On our first day, we walked from the carriage house to the river, through the historic district.

We are very glad we chose to stay at Richard’s upstairs cabin apartment this past weekend during our visit to Savannah. The location is great. It’s in a quiet area of the historic district but still close enough to great places to eat and shop. Richard has thought of everything for your stay—well stocked fridge for tea, coffee and breakfast items, detailed information on places to eat (including menus!), instructions for everything in the apartment, and even bicycles to get around the area. The apartment is the perfect size and has a comfy living area, good size bedroom, and nice bathroom with a medicine cabinet stocked with essential items and a great shower head in the shower. Did I mention Turkish cotton towels? Nice! The apartment itself is situated behind the main beautiful house, both of which were very easy to find with Richard’s great instructions, and is steps away from some great places to eat. The dedicated parking spot is a wonderful bonus, so no worries about your car while you’re spending your time in Savannah on foot or bike. Loved our stay and will definitely be booking this apartment again on our next visit! Thanks, Richard!

My husband and I visited Savannah for our first anniversary, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. Richard and Cole were wonderful to work with, poor Cole even stood in the pouring rain to let us into the apartment when we arrived! The rental is clean and well appointed. It was such a nice touch to have the stocked items such as coffee, creamer, OJ, etc. The deck overlooking the garden was so nice, and we enjoyed sitting and enjoying the beautuful weather. We found the extensive recommendations list very useful.. (don't miss out on Blowing Smoke great tacos and cocktails!! ) The residence is a good walking distance ~30min from the downtown area, but we enjoyed leisurely walking into town each day and it allowed us to go through Forseyth park each day which we loved. In the evening we used Ubers to come back (5$ uber ride from river/downtown area). There is a good bit to explore close to the apartment which we did some, but there were some areas that got a bit sketchy (like most cities) so we ended up sticking to the more populated downtown area. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the bed is VERY FIRM, and as someone who sleeps on pillowtop mattress plus a featherbed topper I obviously had two rather restless nights. Other than that I could not have been happier! We hope to be back soon!

Richard reached out to us and offered to move our stay a few days due to inclement weather, which was incredibly thoughtful and worked out perfectly for us. Everything at the rental was what we expected, plus a few nice food items and amenities left for us as well. The only downside to the stay was that the bikes were nice to use but a little old and worn, so the chain slipped off of one of the bikes and caused my wife to fall over fairly hard on our last day. Otherwise our trip was everything we hoped for and more!

We really enjoyed our time here. Richard communicated very well beginning at the time of booking all the way through the end of our trip. He was available to answer questions about the city and things to do, and provided a comprehensive list of suggestions. The property was very clean and right next to many great restaurants. It’s the perfect size for one or two people. It is a little longer of a walk to downtown, but definitely doable and you see many parks along the way.

We loved staying here! Richard is so thoughtful to provide drinks in the fridge, a few breakfast items, essential cooking ingredients like spices, as well as coffee and many types of tea. Several good places to eat within walking distance. The AC and heat worked well. Our favorite part was the backyard garden - beautiful and quiet.

This was our first time in Savannah, but not our last. Our Host could not have been more thorough with the instructions and information which made everything about staying there easy. The extra touches were so nice. We ended up waking everywhere, but I think the next time we would definitely use the bicycles. Cant wait to go back one day!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Thomas Square. No surprises. Everything was just as the pictures show. And the breakfast food in the fridge made a HUGE impression. So nice to not have to go in search of food first thing in the AM. This is such a super great touch by the hosts. We would stay here again and recommend highly.

We drove into Savannah last Monday evening amidst a downpour. Our amazing host,, Richard, ran out in the pouring rain to hand over the apartment keys. We hurriedly placed the last order of the day at Sly's Sliders and minutes later were wolfing down scrumptious artisanal sliders. Potential diet danger as Sly's is a 30 second walk from the apartment. We so appreciated the coffee and creamer, yogurt and granola waiting for us the next morning.. Perfect location to enjoy all Savannah has to offer!

Loved this clean and cozy "urban cottage". After 2 days of car travel to move my daughter to college I was pleased with the easy check in and cold refreshments waiting in the fridge. Property was secure, relaxing and close to great restaurants and coffee shops. Nice walk or bike ride to historic district. Richard is a friendly and accommodating host. Look forward to staying again.

Richard was an exceptionally great host. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and to help make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The apartment is very tastefully decorated, clean and in a quiet and relaxing part of town. I used the loaner bikes the whole weekend, and they were a perfect way to cruise around town and see the sights on two wheels. I will definitely be staying here again next time I find myself in Savannah!

I don’t know Savannah well so I wasn’t sure how great the location was until I arrived. You are surrounded by some of the best food spots here and walking into town is easy. Gotta try Back in the Day Bakery, Bull Street Travis’s, and Fox & Fig. So glad we stayed here!

The setting of the place was just amazing. We absolutely loved the private feeling but still being close to everything. We definitely would pick this place again for our next trip to Savannah. The place felt very comfortable and cozy.

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon. I've been using exclusively VRBO/Air BNB for many years now. And Richard's apartment was truly one of my favorite experiences! His cottage house is situated in a gorgeous courtyard in the back of his classic Savannah plantation home. The whole thing drips with southern elegance and charm. The street lined with Spanish moss covered oaks, the courtyard carefully arranged palms, vines and plants of all varieties. The apartment was warm, lived in and stylish. A place I'd want to just move right into.
We had bikes to use and he was right there with anything we needed, even providing a wonderful recommendation list. We were really taken with all the small touches. Different kinds of milks, yogurts, granolas in the fridge. Games to play. Everything we would need to cook a meal. It was all so thoughtful and made our stay that much better. Thank you! We would love to make return visits to Savannah to stay at your place! <3

Richard's cozy second floor carriage-house apartment is a bright, quiet, and comfortable home away from home, with great views off the private deck overlooking the property's beautiful and atmospheric gardens! The off-street parking was very helpful and we liked having bikes available for exploring the area, including nearby Forsyth Park. We also appreciated the quality food items Richard left for us, keeping us from spending time at the grocery store--though it was nice to know there was a Kroger's just up the road. Richard is a gracious and knowledgeable host, providing lots of information about dining, shopping, and the area in general. We enjoyed meeting him (and Mr. Pickles!), and look forward to staying there again the next time we visit beautiful Savannah!

Really enjoyed my stay in the upstairs cabin. VERY comfortable bed, soft sheets and towels....top notch. Loved the porch overlooking the garden. Richard has a fine eye for southern gothic.
Neighborhood is in easy reach of the historic district, but retains the funk that makes Savannah unique.

We loved our Holiday get a way at the Urban Cabin. Richard was very helpful and we are thankful to have found a wonderful dog friendly place. Our pups found a new friend with Mr Pickles. The refrigerator and pantry was stocked with all our favorites. Will was very nice and had the apartment toasty warm when we arrived. We really enjoyed and would come back again. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
