Escape to the mountains of North Georgia at this secluded, country cottage in Sautee Nacoochee! Located on a large wooded lot, this home has comfortable outdoor spaces to enjoy the natural settings like a covered deck. Inside you'll find an old fashioned wood stove, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a TV with a DVD player and movie library. The firepit with seating offers time for s'mores and reflection at the end of the day. The living room features an old fashioned wood stove for that old style comfort.

This cabin is three miles from Unicoi State Park at the base of Blood Mountain, which offers a beautiful lake, hiking, and sightseeing at Anna Ruby Falls. The Bavarian themed town of Helen, under seven miles away, offers lots of shops, eateries and activities. Oktoberfest runs during September and October, and then the town is ablaze with beautiful lights and music during the Victorian Christmas. Take the family or friends to Helen Tubing & Waterpark along the Chattahoochee River, nine miles from your door.

Beautiful property

My family and I have really enjoyed our stay. This cabin is not only nice but the neighborhood is very peaceful. It was only a short drive to Helen.

Quiet and close to Helen GA and Unicoi State Park

A great location. Less than 10 minutes to Helen and about 5 minutes to Unicoi State Park. Go to Helen and/or go for a hike then a quick drive to peace and quiet.

Hiking trip to North Georgia

Central to locations we visited ( Tallulah Gorge, Brasstown Bald, AT/Preachers Rock, Anna Ruby Falls, Helen and Dahlonega. Appreciated the privacy, kitchen well appointed, fire pit fun, very comfortable. Loved all the bear decorations. One thing I am finding frustrating… I have completed the same forms for Vacasa and now VRBO. I initially made my reservation via my VRBO app but since then to have had most communication with Vacasa. We could not enter the house with code at back door. When I called for assistance I spoke with a Vacasa rep. I had to walk down to highway and then to a campground trying to find service with my cell phone. Thankful for owner of the campground who let me use her phone to reach the agent. I think you should combine your forms!

Sweet home in the mountains

We loved the property. Pictures were spot on. Everything we expected. A few things we didn't expect....the master bedroom bed is very uncomfortable. I do not have back issues but my back hurt the entire time. A greasy mug with bacon grease was left in the cabinet. The upstairs bedroom had live & dead wasps. A few live ones which made for uneasy sleeping & a ton of dead ones. No hand soap in the downstairs bathroom. FYI the outside string lights are not working. Overall our family had a great time in your cabin & loved our family time for our weekend getaway. Thank you!

Great property!

My husband and I wanted to check out the town of Helen and this home was the perfect place to stay. We were a short drive to Helen and as a bonus we went to Unicoi State Park to hike and see Anna Ruby Falls. I highly recommend you do all of these things!

Sweet Home Away

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin nestled in the woodsy area close to Helen, but far enough away to enjoy the quietness and serenity of the woods. Nicely decorated…..beds very comfy! Air conditioning very comfortable. However my favorite was the wrap around porch, especially in the morning, drinking my coffee, enjoying the song of the birds. Just delightful. Hiking great also. For the novice hiker, The Hardman Trail along the Chattahoochee River And the 2 mile trail around the lake at Unicoi State park was so enjoyable!! We look forward to another stay at Sweet Home Away! Thank you very much🤗

Amazing stay

We will definitely be returning to this beautiful cabin. The inside was extremely cozy and the beds were very comfortable. We could have stayed outside on the wrap around porch all day, it was so quiet and peaceful. We went into Helen, GA which was a very short drive. Had some great food and and overall great time. Would highly recommend this stay

L O V E this cabin!

This is the perfect comfy and cozy, quaint cabin. It is not fancy schmancy, but it IS homey and that was perfect for us. It has SUCH a cute little cabin feel. It rained during most of our visit so we did not get to take advantage of the outdoor firepit but we played games our entire stay and had a lovely trip to Helen. Our teenager and our youngest daughters both loved it and are already asking when we can go back.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway

We celebrated our 22nd anniversary at this quaint little cabin, nestled in the beautiful autumn woods. If you’re looking for a small, quiet cabin to rest and relax, away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. We loved it! Booking, check-in, and check-out were incredibly easy, and communication from the property managers was on-point. We will definitely return.

Great cabin in a great location close to Helen. I would have given them 5 stars if not for the ridiculously late check in at 4 p.m. and the early check out at 10 p.m.

Sweet home away

This was our first time renting a cabin and it met all of our expectations. It was very clean and also had a very cozy atmosphere. It rained the hold trip so we didn't get to enjoy all of thing outside and that's okay. Overall great place to stay.

Peaceful retreat

This property was great for our weekend getaway. Close to Anna Ruby Falls and Helen. House was clean and perfect for a quiet weekend. The mattresses were a little firmer than we would have liked. But that was the only small down side. The house was well equipped. Had strong internet to keep our teenager happy. The porch is a great place to relax and hand breakfast. And we enjoyed sitting outside around the fire pit. Easy check in process. Would definitely rent this property again.

Home away from home

This was the perfect cabin for our family of 3 (though it could sleep more). Comfy beds and our son loved the loft space. I think I could have spent our whole vacation on the porch and been just fine. The cabin felt like a home with the gnomes and blanket baskets and personal family touches, and the Bible verses in the different rooms made us feel very comfortable and safe. Reserving through VRBO and Vacasa was so easy, and check-out has never been easier, and this was my first time booking through either organization, so the whole process was perfect even for a first-timer.

I loved the porch and the scenery of the cabin. In my opinion the downstairs bedroom should have a window ac unit because the room is feels warm in warmer summer nights. Too bad there isn't a washer and dryer.

Cozy

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We used the Porch every night. Cleanliness was pretty good. Comforter had blood spots on it so I took it off. It does need to be cleaned before next arrivals. The silverware draw had some kind of big pieces of food in them. Couldn’t determine what it was. Under the bed it was dusty. Hadn’t been moped for a while I’m guessing. Overlooking those things we enjoyed the peace and quite of the mountains. Thank you.

Cabin in the woods

We loved the cabin, decor and it’s location to most things! However like Tanya, another reviewer said, cleanliness was lacking in areas. We had two cockroaches, dead wasp, moldy shower curtain, dirty microwave, and dusty/webbing around inside/outside home. We expected a little better than this. We cleaned prior to using anything. But we made the best of it and enjoyed the fire pit, surrounding towns, parks, and restaurants. Thank you for allowing us the feedback.
