Renter beware!
Fridge was dirty, still some mold in cabin, hot tub not working, tv in bedroom needs replacing and also shuts itself off, and sauna does not come up much past 90 degrees (after an hour or two of trying). It has 2 fireplaces but no working poker set. Also, as one previous renter reporter, half the kitchen appliances need replacing, and there is a sign saying take your own trash 2 miles away. Vacasa contacted me on day 1 of a 5-day vacation in regard to its cleanliness. I told them maybe a 3 or a 4 on the 5-pt scale. They seemed ok with that. After another day, I started contacting them about the non-working amenities, but neither they nor the home owner were responsive. We wound up leaving a day early (again, no sauna, no hot tub, etc). I asked 48 hrs in advance for a refund for the last day, but they refused. Vacasa waived the cleaning fee, but that was it. Very disappointed. I would not have rented here if I had known the owners were falsely advertising amenities they did not have working. Bottomline... could be a 5-star place, if owner were willing to put in some energy for upkeep, but right now, only 1 star.

Beautiful cabin
Everything was perfect. The only thing that was t working was the jets in the bathtub, but we used the hot tub mostly anyway so this wasn’t an issue. Great quiet cabin in a quiet neighborhood.

Dirty and unkept
Things felt dirty. When we arrived there was hair in the bed. The upper levels had layers of dust. There was a list of things that could have been repaired or updated. The jacuzzi jets didn’t work nor did the sauna. We did enjoy being here but the condition of the place put a negative feel on it.

Nice cabin..but details overlooked.
This cabin is tucked away and surrounded by beautiful mature trees, yet you aren’t far from anything you’d want to do. Whoever designed the layout for this cabin created a spacious cabin for two with all the amenities built in. There is no shortage of natural light, and the leather couches were very comfy. With that being said, if I personally owned this house and came to visit, I wouldn’t be happy about it’s condition. It is quite clear this property doesn’t receive TLC on a regular basis. While I could write a novel on the amount of details which are routinely overlooked, the short story is the cabin was very dusty and had some mold. The cleaning crew used cheap cleaners on the floor which leave behind this greasy film all over the floors, so we had to wear shoes inside because going barefoot was not a comfortable option. The kitchen is barely stocked with the cheapest of essentials and half the appliances need to be replaced. There are couple things to note: 1. They expect you to haul your trash in your car to their office and put it in a bear proof dumpster. Their office was a few minutes away, so not a super long drive, but if you aren’t coming in a truck, make note of this. 2. There’s no washer or dryer at this cabin. Not a deal breaker for us, but if you like to go home with clean clothes, take note. 3. We opted not to reach out to management as it was a short stay and we were out and about most of the time. We enjoyed it, but wouldn’t go back.

Can we go back already!?!?
The cabin was very beautiful. Open floor plan and great for 2 people and small dogs. The dogs loved the outside area and we loved sitting in the living room and with it having so many windows the views were amazing. The large soaker tub and outside hot tub were a plus! The area is secluded but within a 10 minute drive to downtown Helen or Sautée Nacoochee ( small town with great culture). Within 5 minutes of Anna Ruby Falls and Unicoi Park. Very scenic area. Post card like views.
