"We so enjoyed our stay at the Harris Neck Cabin. We were traveling with my sister and her husband and they had one side of the duplex and we had the other. The Wildlife Preserve was amazing and basically right across the street. Spending time there was a chance to refresh and renew. "I'm home now in New England, & woke up this morning still expecting to open my front door to see the sun rise over the marsh, & to walk out onto the boardwalk over it. The sun was shining, the birds were calling, & I was filled with peace & the expectation of another relaxing day. Relaxation is the key word here! "Overall, the property is quite nice. Sapelo Island itself isn't much to visit in the winter time or, frankly, any time at all unless you're really into hanging out on pristine, secluded beaches. (In season, in terms of activities, I suppose fishing from the beach -- surf casting -- might be fun & productive.
