I had a little secluded patio to myselfAs before the staff on reception were brilliant. Sofia deserves special mention, so friendly and thoroughly professional and attentive. Likewise Francesco both on arrival and at breakfast next morning. The breakfast is outstanding. Well done to the team at San Giorgio. Ottimo."

"What a brilliant hotel. Inside they have used the natural stone of the hill to create a unique decor to the rooms. Lovely comfy beds. Large shower with rainshower head. The hotel provides a Sicilian type of adapter for plugging in chargers. Marzia -the hotel manager- was the most helpful host, nothing was too much trouble for her. She speaks very good english and very fast italian. She provides a video of directions from the car/bus park to the hotel (better than google maps). All Ragusa Ibla sights within walking distance of hotel and frequent bus sevice to Ragusa / marina / punta secca."

"Set 5 minutes from the sea, this is a comfortable villa with large pool that isn't overlooked. The area around is the villa is agricultural with sheep next door, and Italian holiday homes that are mainly used in July and August. It's a great base to explore the history, culture and cuisine of the Ragusa region. We were greeted by the owners son, who was a fantastic host who was in WhatsApp to answer any questions."

"We rented a car and drove from Siracusa, with stops in surprisingly beautiful Noto and historic Modica before arriving in Ragusa, one of the most beautifully situated cities anywhere! I chose the Itria Palace due to it's location and with our having a car, parking was an issue. Right next to the hotel is a free public parking lot with plenty of spaces. And, there is a ramp to the hotel's lower entrance. We were housed in the hotel's annex located across the street, which is lovely, the rooms are bright, clean and nicely appointed. Our rooms had incredible views of the main hotel and the Ibla valley and old buildings hanging off the walls of the city. The staff were excellent and the breakfast buffet was beautifully presented in the star-vaulted rooms on a lower floor. Delicious array of breakfast items. My only complaint is that we only stayed for one night, the hotel would make and excellent place to stay for several nights to explore the region. That being our problem, not the hotel! Very highly recommended. "

"Wonderful experience at this hotel which is in a renovated palazzo. The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly, especially Marisa who recommended the zucchini pizza at the restaurant around the block. The room was fine, very comfortable bed. The morning breakfast was laid out the grand ballroom and there were many options to choose from in the buffet. We felt very well cared for from start to finish. Our only regret was that we were just staying one night. We wish we could have stayed longer. "
