"Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend."

"Great hostel in the heart of La Fortuna, situated 40 metres from Selina Hostel and 2 minutes from the bus terminal, main plaza and supermarkets. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and the entire ambience of the place is calming and cozy. WiFi was great too. Note though that the 9 bed dorm consists of triple bunks."

"Be sure to calibrate your expectations: this is not a luxury apartment. It was, however, an excellent value. While the building wasn't new, the room was well-kept. We were able to find parking each night on the street in front, but had to relocate the car closer one night. The owner is helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast of fruit, eggs, and gallo pinto was solid (especially at this price point). "

"Very friendly and accommodating host - Marleny and family. Clean and friendly place with much information about local tours, eating places, and organized transport to and from San Jose. Great kitchen facilities! and Marleny prepared us a delicious breakfast, for US$7. Comfortable rooms and very clean. The location is noisy on weekends, especially at night, with passing traffic on the main road."

"We had so much fun here, and it was a wonderful place to come and relax after a day of activities. Very unique cabin, with porch right on the pond. Friendly ducks, dogs, and it was great hearing all of the different bird calls. Very close to restaurants and things, but felt remite and private. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the small bathroom without much room to put things."

"This was a cozy cabin located in a very cute property. We loved taking our breakfast in the porch to watch the ducks and fish. We had a really lovely stay!! I want to highlight some things that I do wish we had known in advance to feel more prepared though, as the cabin was more rustic than what the listing portrayed. There were only two of us, but it’s worth noting that the sofa bed was in the front living room area, and the AC was located in the bedroom and worked best with that door closed....
