Lovely Swimming Pool exclusive to residents. Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service. Could definitely benefit from better signage/directions on entry and clean-up around the pool together with the addition of shower and changing facilities. "

"La Maison du Bonheur is een ruim, mooi afgewerkt en prachtig gelegen huis met alle voorzieningen die we konden wensen. Niet alleen heeft elke slaapkamer haar eigen badkamer, er is ook nog een apart toilet naast de woonkamer. Zowel de woonkamer als het terras zijn voorzien van een grote tafel, die ruim plaats bood aan onze familie van 10. De ruime keuken was uitgerust met alle nodige keukengerei. Een lounge naast het mooie zwembad was een ideale plaats om te verpozen. De uiterst vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw wonen naast het huis, maar je merkt haast niet dat ze er zijn (al zijn ze er wel als je ze nodig hebt). Kortom: we konden ons geen beter verblijf wensen."

"The cottage is absolutely lovely and has everything one needs for a short or longer stay. Robert is a kind, considerate and generous host who gave us vegetables from his garden when we arrived. We had a great week there and enjoyed the quiet, rural location and private nature of the cottage and enclosed garden. We will definitely return! Highly recommended. "

"We have just returned from a 10 night stay with 11 family members of vastly varied ages, 80years to 1years and had an absolutely great time from start to finish. The host Leanne was super helpful, nice and always pleasant throughout, she communicated with us before our holiday providinb us with info and suggestions before our visit and then came down to the farm house on arrival and during our stay to clean the pool and make sure everything was ok for the family. The whole family would highly recommend this stay it's our first time in France and we will definitely be returning. A car is needed but within half an house in every direction there is loads to see and do. During our holiday us and the kids swam in the pool, lakes, rivers and a small waterpark, we went paddle boarding and kayaking in the local rivers. Had BBQ every night nearly and loved sitting out at the back of the farm house until long after the sun had set in the evenings. The kids really enjoyed the games room once they had enough of the sunshine. Brilliant from start to finish the whole holiday. Thanks again Leanne for having us. "
