Comfortably seated in your sofa, you have only 30 m to do, to be the feet in the water, on the Great Beach of St Jean-De-Luz. Ideally located in a beautiful late 19th century building, completely renovated in 2010, you will forget the car hassles. All shops are nearby, which will save you from going out, private parking, your vehicle for stewardship. The modern comfort of this fully renovated apartment will allow you to rest. Idleness, relaxation, sports activities, you will fully enjoy your holidays. The mountains, all close to the Basque Country, will only add to your pleasure to discover the splendid region: visits to monuments, typical villages of the Basque Country, fishing, cycling, hiking in the mountains and jogging on the coastal path. In the evening, you only have to sit on the pier, to admire the sunsets on the Socoa Fort.
If you do not know St Jean de Luz, you will enjoy discovering a small town that has preserved its surroundings and its rich architectural heritage. The church of St Jean Baptiste, at the entrance to rue Gambetta, pedestrian shopping street, is remarkable for its altarpiece and its wooden galleries, formerly reserved for men. It was the wedding venue of Louis XIV and the Infanta of Spain.
The bay, surrounded by Ste Barbe and surrounded by Fort Socoa, is one of the most remarkable in the Basque Country. Do not hesitate to visit the Archiloa cross (Pierced stone, in Basque language) between Ste Barbe and Erromardie. You will see the beaches of the Landes on one side and Spain on the other. On your way back, you will stop at the old remains of the Atlantic Wall, which are used as a promontory today, to discover the so-called "stacks of plates" before reaching the coastal path (which passes in front of your apartment) the port of St Jean. You can also cross, to go to Ciboure, birthplace of Maurice Ravel. Walking along the ocean, you will reach Fort Socoa, imposing fortification and see St Jean dominated by the Rhune. Its famous cogwheel train is picturesque: it will take you in wild scenery to the summit which rises to almost 900 m. The 360 ° panorama is extraordinary. Not far, the villages of Ascain, Sare, Espelette or Aïnhoa are the most remarkable. On the Spanish side, do not miss La Concha in San Sebatian: leave your car at Hendaye station and take the 'topo' which will take you to the heart of the city. Let yourself be enchanted by the lively Spanish life at the time of 'tapas'. Closer to it, from Hendaye beach, in front of the Serge Blanco Thalasso center, you can also cross the Bidassoa for a 5-minute mini-cruise by boat and discover Fontarrabia, overlooked by an imposing fortification. This small fortified town is very pleasant to visit, with its narrow streets that contrast with the more modern avenues of the seafront. Near the port, many typical restaurants will allow you to enjoy traditional Basque cuisine: Piquillos, Chuletta, cod omelette, garlic stir-fry squid, Spanish sea bream and sheep's cheese.

If you are looking for a place to stay near the beach and town this is it! Perfect and simple apartment only a few steps from the beach with a parking spot! My husband and I stayed here with our 4 boys and it was perfect. Came during the winter and it was beautiful, but can't wait to come back during the summer. :) Thank you Guy for everything. Perfect beach village, perfect location
All stars for this location, owner and rental! St Jean de Luz is a perfect beach village - we spent some time in the area up and down the coast and felt that St Jean de Luz is the best of them all - not too big, not too little, great beach that is great at high tide as well. It is not a surfing beach - but a great swimming beach. The town has many places to walk to of interest, a great boardwalk and a very unique basque influence. We happened to be there during the Bestak festival (annual Basque festival) - which ended up being a highlight of our travels this summer. You couldn't ask for anything better as a rental property for our family of 5. It takes 75 small steps to make it from the front door of the rental to the beach. You can hear the wave breaks outside of the door and through the night. There are two bathrooms and showers which is a great bonus. The owners (we dealt with both Guy and Adeline) are super - very attentive, very professional and kind. You can tell that they love the property and are happy to share it's magic with the renters.

Difficile de faire plus proche de la plage, en rdc de surcroît. Envie d'un plouf et on y est de suite. Et il n'y a plus qu'à se rincer à une des deux salles d'eau. Pas non plus de galère pour trouver une place de parking, c'est sur place. Le rdc donne davantage l'impression qu'on est dans une maison plutôt qu'en appartement. C'est hyper propre, fonctionnel, l'équipement est complet. Très bon accueil par les propriétaires, souples et arrangeants. On reviendra, c'est certain. Parfait !
