"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. "From our arrival to our departure, Eric the host, could not have been more helpful. The property is easy to find at the end of a small lane with extensive grounds. Eric had prepared a list of recommended restaurants in the area, which is helpful. The room was quiet and spacious. "We stayed here for one night after arriving earlier in Cherbourg. The property was easily found using a sat nav. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with refreshments available. Having asked prior to our arrival, we had a fantastic 3 course evening meal expertly prepared and presented by his young chef Brenda.
