Welcome to the Bears & the Bees, a perfect mountain getaway located in the beautiful Upper Canyon. Nestled among trees and wildlife this 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin offers king-sized beds in both rooms. The custom-built bathroom that features a stand-up shower with a rainwater shower head. Snuggle up by the gas fireplace and watch your favorite movie or challenge someone to a game of Pac-Man on the game table in the living room. The full kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve a basic meal. Spend the afternoon taking in the fresh mountain air from the covered front porch, or patio set. Enjoy your evenings star gazing from the private hot tub or grilling some steaks on the propane gas grill. You will only be a short drive from downtown Ruidoso, where you can enjoy a variety of shops, restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Whether looking for a romantic getaway, a family-friendly spot, or wanting that cabin in the woods feel, you won't be disappointed. Deer, elk, and turkeys are never far away, and you may catch a glimpse of a black bear in the warmer months.

60th birthday retreat.
Nice little cabin in far upper canyon, went for the mid week and we were the only ones. Nice and quiet, except for the deer, elk, wild horses were on our porch. Early mornings and after sun down was loaded with turkeys gobblin, it was great!

My family and I , booked the “Bears and Bees “ home , it was perfect for us. Great location, clean and had great time in hot tub while snow was falling on us. The Managment took care of all are needs! We will be back!

It was okay
Not a bad place to stay but wouldn't go back to it. I feel for the amount of money they were charging the place could've been better, cleaner etc. The place gave me a unfinished look.. none of the doors completely closed. Had to use a chair to completely close the main bedroom. Front door wouldn't shut unless you locked the top latch. Check in process was odd, received all that info via email the day of only bc I was asking for it when we arrived. It would have been nice if it listed things they provided in kitchen. Had to buy my own cutting board and knife. Cleanliness wasn't the greatest, dirty silverware and glasses, dirty floors. Very odd feel all the way around. But it served its purpose.

The cabin was delightful to stay in. The hot tub was a bonus. So was the pac man game Wild life were around during our stay. We loved our stay!!!! The cabin was pretty well stocked. However, no steak knives, no cutting boards, no blow dryer. No extra blankets.
