Count Checco. A heaven in the rooftops of Rome few steps away from the pantheon
Delightful apartment of 100 square meters consisting of living room with open kitchen, double bedroom with bathroom, another double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a terrace with views of the rooftops and the inner courtyard that guests can use to enjoy a breakfast or An aperitif at sunset. The apartment does not face the street so even if it is in the historic center it is very quiet. It is located 60 steps from the street level without a lift.

if you can handle the 62 stairs (and we could) this is a great apartment. It is clean, well equipped, comfortable, and located right in the heart of historic district. the owners are very easy to communicate with and it is obvious they love this place. we did too.

Count Checco apartment was a perfect place to stay for our stay in Rome. The location was perfect; around the corner from lots of places to eat and the Pantheon. Despite the stairs, the apartment was faultless. Beautiful spacious rooms with classic yet modern decor. It was very quiet at night and the roof terrace was an added bonus. Communication with Ginerva was fab and the long list of tips she gave us about restaurants and places to visit was appreciated. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Koen was a great host and walked us around the local neighborhood to show where the grocery store was, good restaurants, and the best gelato. The apartment had lots of room and a great outdoor patio area.

The location of the apartment was a wonderful area close to the Pantheon. We were able to stay in a cobblestone neighborhood that had amazing restaurant and shops. Ginevra was so accommodating and she had great eating suggestions that were all delicious. The size was perfect for 4 of us. We loved It and we definitely would recommend this apartment to others.

My family loved our stay in Rome. The owners were easy and quick to communicate with and very helpful. Check in was a breeze and they were very flexible with us to accommodate our travel changes. Apartment is as shown and described. Location is amazing - literally right around the corner from so much action yet a quiet little street and no noise at all in the apartment.

What a great way to start or trip to Italy! Our hostess was lovely showing us around the spacious and comfortable apartment. She even taught us how to make a mocha pot!
The location is perfect! An easy walking distance to most sites and just on the edge of the Pantheon. I would 100% recommend

Us, family of 4 , spent 3 lovely nights at this apartment. We loved everything about it. The location is perfect, the apparent is clean and has that old Rome character. I would recommend this property to everyone who wants to have a real Rome experience!
In addition - the owner gave us a lot of recommendations in regards of places to eat and go. We used them all! Great local restaurants and gelato places! Thanks Ginevra for the hospitality!

My spouse, three children (ages 16, 14, 11), and I loved our stay at Count Checco. The tastefully-decorated apartment is in the perfect location very near the Pantheon. The host was extremely helpful; he walked us around the neighborhood to show us restaurants and grocery stores, made a dinner reservation for us, and thoughtfully left us bottled water and wine in the fridge. We loved the breezy terrace where we enjoyed aperitivos every evening before dinner. The air condition in each room worked great and the beds were all comfy. We would definitely stay at Count Checco again.

First time in Rome and this was a wonderful location, wonderful apartment, extremely helpful owner, Ginerva! Ginerva gave us lots of helpful information, places near to eat, shop, explore, etc! We enjoyed our stay very much at Count Checco. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens, we were intrigued the moment our Taxi dropped us off! He actually dropped us off around the corner, which was understandable. Wonderful patio that we used daily! We had an amazing time in Rome and at Count Checco. Thank you Ginerva!

I stayed here with my spouse, 10 year old and 4 year old. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a great space to relax after a lot of sightseeing. Had the kitchen basics. We didn't cook but did breakfast and leftovers. Easy walk to sights, restaurants and great gelato. Although it is a busy area, it was quiet. No issues with street noise. The host was good with communication and helped us arrange an early airport pickup.
The posting notes there are stairs. They are no joke. I would not have wanted to carry up big luggage or kids up them.

This is a super property right in the heart of a lively and safe neighborhood where you can enjoy so many restaurants and gelato!! The Pantheon is a 6 minute walk and quite impressive. The apartment is beautiful, lots of light and very comfortable. The kitchen is complete! We loved eating in creating dishes we enjoyed at local restaurants. The outdoor area patio is a haven for relaxing after a day of touring. Loved the lanterns. The hosts couldn’t be more kind and helpful. This place is a gem. It is quiet and very comfortable and a most wonderful and most relaxing place to stay in spite of the 60 steps n you will climb to the door! Worth it!

We just returned from a 6 night stay at Ginevra's apartment. The apartment is spacious, spotless and well appointed. The proximity to many must see places was a huge bonus. Although located in a high density area, the orientation of the apartment avoided any street noise whatsoever. Excellent restaurants are a short stroll away. Ginevra, who is an author and tour guide, speaks English fluently and was a delight to deal with. She provided many excellent dining recommendations and helpfully arranged transportation from and to the airport with a very knowledgeable and friendly driver. First rate experience. (Note that the apartment is located on the third or fourth floor and may present some difficulties for those guests with mobility issues - certainly not a criticism but merely an FYI)

We were a family of three - 2 parents and a 9 year old. We all loved this stay. The apartment is right beside the buzz of the pantheon but once you are inside - or even outside in the little side lane where the door is - you would never know it. It’s completely quiet and serene. We had everything we needed there - everything from coffee percolator to Netflix! - two bathrooms, kitchen, big sofas, you name it. There are real neighbours living real local lives, which is wonderful, you are really in an authentic Roman apartment setting. It is lovely to open up the windows and let the beautiful Rome air in. We sat out on the private balcony and played cards. The area is full of great restaurants, gelato, cafes, etc, which we used and enjoyed, but also there are several supermarkets and markets nearby so we also ate in quite a bit, which is very homely and of course wallet-friendly. Hosts were very helpful, check in was easy. Ok there are quite a few stairs to get your suitcases up - which was fine for us, no problem - but something to consider if that is going to be an issue for your party. But for us, the apartment was perfect - highly recommended!

Rome was our first stop in Italy and we couldn’t have been happier with our week long stay at this lovely two bedroom apartment in the heart of the old part of the city. We had Giolitti’s (our standard for gelato in Rome) virtually next door and the Pantheon about 4 minutes away with easy walks to the Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona – all some of our favorite places. And if you’ve tried to stay in a hotel in Italy with a family of four then I’m sure you will appreciate the two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen and family room. In addition to that, having the terrace, air conditioning and laundry made it even better. Ginevra, had a driver pick us up and deliver us to the apartment, she showed us around and made communicating with her a cinch. We mentioned two things to her casually via text (a loose faucet and a loose toilet paper spindle) and they were fixed by the next day! We highly recommend this apartment and would definitely return again.

Thank you so much for hosting us the few days we were in Rome. The apartment was everything we needed for a family of four and in the best location in Rome, just blocks from the Pantheon. We had everything we needed and the hosts were easy to communicate with an accommodating. Thank you for the hospitality.
