"The view from this place is spectacular. We saw lobster fisherman checking their traps every morning right up close. Unforgettable. Also unforgettable is the fact that you are not allowed to flush any toilet paper and the toilet toilet paper goes into poop bucket next to the commode, why they don’t install a composting toilet I will never know. The floors are very uneven because it’s such an old building, but if you have any balance issues forewarned also if you plan to use the upstairs, please note that there is no railing on the outside of the stairs , this seems to be a liability issue as it would be easy to just fall because the stairs are very steep. Perhaps the other renters mentioned these things in their reviews but the reviews are all in French so I missed it if you enjoy roughing it indoors this is the place for you Again the view is what makes this place spectacular not the place itself"

"I really enjoyed my stay, I wished it was longer. Such a wonderful host! Thoughtful, respectful and so kind. Everything i needed was there. It was incredibly comfortable, the bed is like a hug :) Thank you for a wonderful first experience!"

"This was a beautiful place to stay for our visit to Cape Breton Island. The view from the house was amazing! We were able to catch both sunrise and sunset while overlooking Bras D'Orr. The hot tub and patio firepit made for a relaxing time. And the privacy was appreciated. One caution is that these are relatively new rentals and while each house is PERFECTLY outfitted, you do drive up a gravel road and driveway with the surrounding land being clear cut for additional cabins. However, once inside and looking out, it is not noticed at all. It is also a bit of a drive if you want to tour the island as we did. This place is best for time hanging out and relaxing. We loved it!"

"Wonderful, small place which was exactly what we were looking for. We used it as a base to explore Cape Breton Trail. Master bedroom very nice en suite. Spare bedroom very small. Great woodburning stove! And view was nice."

"Beautiful property and grounds. We arrived near the end of season and after a heavy rain so the golf course wasn't opened. The meals were great and the staff more than friendly and helpful. Would stay there again."
