"Le gîte est chouette (cuisine bien équipée et lave-linge/étendage dispos) et le jardin vraiment au calme, on peut bien en profiter pour entendre les oiseaux. Ligré est juste à côté de Chinon (le château est une très bonne visite en soi) et ça a été un bon point de chute pour notre semaine, on a pu visiter beaucoup de sites avec 15-40 minutes de voiture max (abbaye de Fontevraud, Saumur, Azay le Rideau, Monts sur Guesnes, Richelieu...). Les propriétaires sont très accueillants (eau, vin et fleurs...

Barbara was more than accommodating from the moment we arrived to the second we departed, a truly fantastic host! "We travelled to Princay as a family of 16, 8 adults and 8 children between 4 and 8. It had been very hard finding a configuration of properties that suited us and this was exactly what we needed. "We were a family group with a 5 year old and a two year old. The pool is great and we made good use of it each day. The location is rural and peaceful. The house is beautiful and the gardens are wonderful with lots of space. The beds were comfortable and the house well equipped. The welcome pack of wine, local cheese and bread was a lovely touch. "Beautiful, spacious limestone cottage with oak beams -very well equipped and lovingly appointed. There's lots of private outdoor space for relaxing and ample parking. Samira and Bertrand are generous, kind and knowledgable people who made us feel at home right from the start. The cottage is close to Azay le Rideau, lots of the wonderful chateaux in the Loire valley and bike paths. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation."

In addition we were told that we would be charged an extra €40 for heat per day, beyond the days she identified as unseasonably cold which seems excessive. Kitchen didn't have any spare space for storing shopping to make the most of the self catering aspect, but we worked around it.
