"Really neat property in a unique area surrounded by bush. House is very comfortable and open - older style but very good. Saw a morepork at night and heard kiwi's. Kids really enjoyed exploring around the area. Candy also goes out of her way to make you welcome. A really good place."

"Perfect property for a large family birthday celebration, this is a very well set up home and has the most beautiful views out to the harbour and sand dunes , the weather was perfect and the deck was well used over the entire stay!We had a lovely weekend away together and highly recommend this property for the home and the location. "

"A lovely property, a newly renovated villa in a quiet location surrounded by fields. Mostly well equipped, but lacking a few details like somewhere to hang towels in the bathrooms. Bath plug leaked and TV turned itself on at full volume at 7.30 am!! Good location for access to Twin Coast rail trail."

It's the whole package that's unique and the only way to discover this is to book it and discover for yourself. Other reviews will give you a clue. I very rarely give reviews on places but this is an exception for an exceptional package. The house, the location, the host, horses, carriages, vintage cars, The stone house and surrounds and all that...

"This is more cabin style accommodation; the bathroom is very tiny. The grass was not mown so we had knee high paspalum to walk through, the gardens completely overgrown, the facilities were OK, but no hair dryer which was a pain.... the dishwasher instructions weren't clear so we never used it.Would I recommend this place no - it was very hard to find with a tight rough long entrance driveway in."

"John and Susan who manage the property were very accommodating and worked fast to sort out a couple of small issues with the property to make our stay enjoyable. They were awesome to deal with and communicated well with me The house is awesome and has everything you need while away on a trip. The 2 level property had a heat pump downstairs and a fireplace upstairs and made it very warm and cosy during the wet and cold nights. The spa pool is large and very spacious and would accommodate...
