The apartment is really nice and overall i was very happy with my stay, there was a couple of minor maintenance issues i found with the room but nothing i need to bring to the attention of the staff. " The room was clean however the safe did not work. I did not feel as there was no visible security on site on the night that I stayed there. The rooms are not sound proof. If you like the sound of passing traffic and the sounds of people fornicatting. I would suggest you pass then. There was no back up electricity as there was load shedding (no electricity) at the time. The breakfast selection was bland and the selection was minimal. "

"This is definitely not a 4 stars hotel. It must be a 2 stars boutique homestay instead. Room is too small for 2 king bed. Bathroom is too small with old shower stall. Old furniture and squeaking wood floor. Felt unwelcome by the management. Definitely not happy stay and not recommend to others. "

"The room was very hot. Only 2 x coat hangers in the cupboard. No outside table or chairs to sit on, apart from one that all in the establishment has to use. When I wanted to use it, it was occupied by the staff. Not private at all, people going passed your unit all the time including staff. No one around to let you out when checking out. Place in a dodgy area. During load shedding At 2 am in the morning all the downlighting came on in the room and you couldn’t switch them off, so didn’t sleep....

"The staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Comfortable Room. Melville shopping centre nearby about a 15 minute walk and area felt safe to me. Using uber is a good way to go to areas further out. Very much enjoyed the days tours organised by the guesthouse with tour guide Ephraim. I recommend 84th on 4th Guesthouse as a very nice place to stay in Johannesburg."

"It’s a very well kept property which is next to main road. Host Rochelle and her husband is very welcoming and kind. We, a pack of 5 people went there to Braai, party and have a fun night and we really had a great time. Breakfast was okay. A special mention to the bread that is very well made. They are renovating and they should close it down until they're done. Its so dirty that i saw it to be a health hazard. I was also worried about my safety. "This is a wonderful oasis. My room was in a small guesthouse on the premises, with a large and beautiful bedroom and full bath. There were even teas and and container of biscotti for late night snacks. The rooms faced a goldfish pond, so that I woke every morning to birdsong. Linda the manager and Andre the host were gracious and helpful, particularly to someone new to Joburg. I highly recommend this guest house, particularly for travelers coming from afar like me. It's such a treat to come...

"The BnB was convenient for our needs, comfortable and host Sonny was fantastic, if we ever have a need to go back that side of Johannesburg we will stay there again. just a heads up driveway is a bit steep for very low vehicles but with some practice can be negotiated okay."
