A cheap move for a hotel like this
"They didn’t have the type of room we had booked at 4pm so tried hard to convince us to upgrade. When we said we’re happy with the room we’ve selected, they don’t have it and will upgrade us for free."

Don't forget your ear plugs because the roosters crowing will be waking you up around 1am, 4am etc.
