Captivating top floor unit (D8) that boasts spectacular ocean and mountain views and vaulted ceilings. This condo has been totally remodeled and shares NO common walls. Be prepared to bask in the breathtaking sunrise views of Anini reef, Kilauea Point Lighthouse and the truly spiritual sunsets of Makana ridge (Bali Hai).

Fall asleep to the sound of the surf in the luxurious King size bed with high quality cotton bedding. There is also a custom "pune'e" (Hawaiian style twin size daybed located in the living room).

Sleeps three. Full kitchen, and full size washer and dryer inside the unit. Cozy up on the ever so comfortable new L shaped sofa and make use of the 65 inch flat screen TV w/Digital cable, DVD, and stereo. Hi speed wireless internet. Comes with coolers, beach umbrella and snorkeling gear for your convenience. (Pak N Play available upon request) Sealodge has a designated tropcial setting BBQ area.

***Disclosure: Buildings A, B, and C are getting repairs to stairs and walkways by Shio Construction between June 3 through mid July. Power tool noise, such as hammers and saws may be heard during business hours 8-5pm. A,B and C will be impacted the most. This rental unit is located in Building D.***

We absolutely loved our stay here, very peaceful! The place is designed to maximize views from every room. We had what we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, very clean throughout, loved the window seating area and the bed was comfortable. We were visited by beautiful little red cardinals in the mornings. Would definitely book again!

This is a great value of a property with excellent views. The property manager, Liz, was super responsive and helpful answering our questions and helping us book an awesome catamaran cruise. Everything went smooth. Bed and linens are super comfy too!

Views are amazing from the unit! Grounds are beautiful with a short trail walk to a cool beach area - fun for exploring and watching waves. Basics are provided for the kitchen. Laundry is handy. Comfortable bed and couch.Grocery store nearby was great. Short travel time to Hanalei for meals at restaurants. Would love to return for a future visit!!

Amazing views!! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed as a couple. The location was very peaceful and well situated to access North Shore activities. It was very convenient to have a laundry, and a set of beach chairs/umbrella/cooler for beach days. Thank you! Highly recommend this special spot

We absolutely loved our stay. This is on the top floor with amazing views of the ocean. The apartment was very clean and came stocked with 2 beach chairs, towels, sunscreen, beach umbrella and even a boogie board. The only issue is the front lock is a bit hard to open the first time. We struggled with this for a few minutes upon arriving but then figured it out. We loved our stay here.

This was a perfect vacation spot for us for 6 weeks. Stunning view, nice breeze so no need for A/C, fully equipped kitchen and laundry machine, nice property manager. Mind though that there are stairs to go up; for us it was just great and welcomed exercise. Maintenance was ongoing, though it did not bother us.

Travelled the world and this place had incredible views in such a magical place. Lots to do with hiking, surfing, snorkeling and visiting botanical gardens. The home had high ceilings, was super clean, stunning sunrises and sunsets and a wonderful kitchen. Really appreciated the professional communication and the humour when texting with Liz Grout. Would highly recommend staying as it feels like being above the palm trees and one with the sea birds.

My husband and I stayed at this property the first week of December and had a lovely time. It is an older property, and the exterior could use some refreshing, but the interior of our unit was lovely. We had everything we could possibly need for cooking (if we chose to) and just enough space for two people. Loved looking out at the views in the morning, catching the day's sunrise. The unit owner had great instructions about everything in the unit, so there was no guessing how things worked. We really appreciated it. It was a very nice stay.

Lovely ocean views with the only sounds those of the ocean. Very peaceful. All logistics worked well. Unit as described and suited us very well. Interesting (positively) layout for a one bedroom. Condos are of the older generation but well kept and because they are older they got the prime ocean front location. As we know …. It is “location, location, location”

Way better than advertised. Views out every window. I was concerned about the lack of AC but the winds keep it a lovely temp. Everything was clean and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment but I am happy to say I hardly used it. I am never up at sunrise but rolled over every morning to enjoy it. Then generally dosed until it was time to get up. We will be back!

The top floor location really catches the breeze and the views--from your pillow, from the terrace, from the couch, from the kitchen sink--are as good as they get. VERY nicely maintained and equipped, and very private. It's also nice to see some improvements in the Sealodge complex, such as the rebuilt trail down to Sealodge Beach. Awesome spot for a couple.

As with many places in Hawaii the salt air wears down metal and wood so a few things where a bit "stiff" and worn but we had everything we could want. Soft sheets, beach towels and chairs, kitchen only needed us to add some food and we felt at home. Summer is very busy on Kauai but we were there for a wedding. I'd go back in the winter and hope I will be able.

This would have been a fantastic 1st trip to Kauai, if not for having been bitten all over my legs and trunk from a 2” large cockroach, while watching tv on the couch. I was laying down in a nightdress and felt something on my leg. I looked down and saw it was a live cockroach!! The unit did not have any roach spray but I found ant spray hidden in a closet, which I used that to kill it. I immediately contacted the manager in text, to alert them to my multiple bites from the cockroach. The response I received was “I don’t even know what to say”. That isn’t the type of service I expected or should have encountered. I was traveling solo and didn’t cook food in the unit, for fear of bugs/cockroaches. I kept my liquids in the refrigerator at all times and there weren’t any food crumbs (which is probably why the roach decided to eat me instead….). No apology, no further communication from management on my complaint!??! If you’re not a fan of cockroaches, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There were plenty more than the larger one that bit me several times. I saw many young roaches and was going to overlook mentioning (before the bit incident). The last thing I want in this world is to find a 2 inch cockroach on my body! I wasn’t able to sleep the remaining 2 nights of my stay, for fear a roach would be inside the sheets. It ruined my entire trip. For this reason I’d never stay here again. I hoped to write a glowing review because the area has everything one would need to enjoy Kauai. 😔

We had stayed at Sealodge in 2019 in a different unit; at that time, we loved the location but the unit was rundown and a bit dingy. In contrast, D8 was clean, bright, and very well-appointed! Really appreciated the uber-comfortable bed, clean dishes, and great beach chairs and towels. The dishwasher was broken but manager Liz quickly dropped off a dish rack for hand-washing. The deck has a great view (as pictured) but also feels a little boxed-in; however, because of the top-story position, view out the front door, and advantage of cross breezes, we grew to enjoy. Really, only complaint was the TV; we don’t watch much, but the couple nights we thought a movie might be nice, we simply couldn’t figure out the system! Maybe provide more detailed directions? In any case, it was a wonderful spot for ten days, and we would definitely rebook.

Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing was one of our highlights and made for a very relaxing honeymoon. The apartment is a great size and provides ample space to stay in and cook a dinner as well as play some board games during the sunset. If you want to focus your time on the north shore, this is a perfect place to stay.

There was even some snorkeling gear, beach towels, beach chairs and a small cooler. There was a big television but we never turned it on. The ocean views off the lanai were awesome as well as the views of the mountains off the front porch. The only minor issues were the bedding for the day bed was not clean. It smelled like BO & sunscreen. Nothing the washer and dryer couldn't handle. The front left burner on the stove didn't work and the window blind over the kitchen sink wouldn't work and the blind on the day bed window was broken. Overall the place was very clean and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
