According to the website and photo of the house, I rented it in good faith. trusting the owners to be forthright on their advertising. Unfortunately, they missed the mark on the musty smell that turned my stomach and started my allergies, the disgusting bathroom heating element, the dirty refrigerator where old taco sauce and ketchup was on the shelf, the parking area with broken glass, the supposed outside area of the house that, in the photo, looked up-to-date but actually was not new siding but now in much need of a paint job. The old, and nasty window air conditioner that was rusted with a musty smell, and the cleaning closet with spiders were surprises. Because of all this, and especially how it affected my allergies. I was forced to lock up and vacate the premises only to drive to the nearest comfort inn with my two daughters for a happier and safer time to enjoy. This experience has taught me a lesson to never rely on people's words and photos ever again. Therefore, I don't feel being a member of VRBO is a safe and honest membership for me, ever.
I assume that getting my rental money back is a "no" even though we spent very few moments examining the property. "Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me".
