"After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed."

"After I checked in at night I found the wifi didn't work. There was no one at the reception to help me. The next morning I whent to the reception again to ask about the wifi. The clerk signaled she did not understand English. She miraculously learned English instantly when she asked me to pay a € 1.76 fee. I had just arrived from Holland where the 1 cent coins don't circulate anymore so I gave he € 1.75. She refused to accept it withe the 1 cent missing so I gave her €1.80. She got angry when I asked for my change. "

"Apart from the bed collapsing on quite a few occasions, some of the parts of the house been mended by bodgit and scarper and the pool having seen better days. I quite enjoyed our holiday. It’s a lovely peaceful setting in which to enjoy the surrounding area. You just get the feeling that the house could be spectacular but they’ve gone for the cheaper option in order to maximise profits. The property manager and owner were always available and willing to help out whenever they could. The place needs a bit of money spending on it. With a few upgrades, the cooker being one, it would be a great place. I would book again if improvements were made. 👍"

"We were looking for somewhere to stay for a long period while we were house hunting. We wanted space, peace and quiet but not too far from amenities. This lovely farmhouse fitted the bill perfectly and Thomas was a most welcoming and generous host. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms meant space for our many guests and with Nanteuil only a 30 minute walk away through the woods and Ruffec 10 minutes in the car, we wanted for nothing. When we had an offer accepted on our new house, Thomas brought a bottle of champagne round to celebrate - most kind. The little hamlet of La Courriere felt like home and we were sad to leave."
