"A lovely, cosy Alentejo style cottage situated in a rural area surrounded by vineyards, cork and olive trees. Everything was as described in the listing and the local property manager was lovely and made the check-in and check-out process seamless. A nice welcome basket was awaiting us of local wine, cheese and bread. Sadly, the view of the fields from the back patio was blocked by overgrown vegetation during our stay. "We stayed with 2 adults and 3 kids. Absolutely loved, loved, loved the village. There's not much to do, but feels therefore like a real immersive experience in a small village. The local library has a play area for kids with lots of toys and games, free to use. The accommodation is comfortable, clean, has everything we needed. Very much appreciated the washing machine to catch up on laundry."

"We had an incredible stay in this lovely quiet village well away from the crowds of tourists. This gorgeous, large, cool, beautifully laid out house provided plenty of space for 8 people - 4 adults and 4 kids. The huge pool and garden area were fabulous and inside the big cool, airy, rooms equipped with a pool table, games room and a large comfy sitting room and spacious bedrooms meant everyone could spread out and properly relax. "What an amazing time we had in Orvalhos! The house sits on a hill where it overlooks the Alentejo plaines. In the mornings , the sounds of bells and birds always made me happy. The locals are just as nice! The house was very clean and it had all we needed. We kept it warm by using the fireplace every evening. Olga was always available for any questions I had and responded right away. One item to note, there are village cats that sat outside on the porch waiting for us to open the door. Since...
