Eco friendly lodge that I stayed in Costa Rica. It's a beautiful place but it's a little far away from everything if you don't have a car. With a car it's 45 minutes away from Manuel Antonio Beach. Breakfast staff is friendly but owner was a little too grumpy for my taste.

"We had an awesome stay at Casa Alegria! We were very close to the beach and enjoyed the spacious layout of the house, the pool, and other amenities. We also loved the location for getting to experience our white face monkey visitors every day. I will recommend to friends and family.!"

"Everything was amazing the views the clean towels and the pool was fantastic the A/C works perfectly, maybe a bit too well… my only gripe with this is that the side room that is included in the listing had 5 dead birds on the ground and when I had told the property management in the WhatsApp chat they had said that “the birds can’t see the windows and they crash and they die” which makes perfect sense, right? But all the windows were completely barred off. It was a bit creepy and I’m not sure...

"The home was plenty big for 6 people. Looks like the photos. Having the balcony was great for seeing wildlife. It’s secluded enough that you feel immersed in the jungle but is still a short drive to restaurants (4 minutes) and multiple beaches (15 minutes). Bring headlamps/flashlights in case of power outages. In regards to cleanliness, the home wasn’t fully cleaned for our stay but we reached out to the house manager and they worked to resolve the issues. "

"We had a group of 11 adults for a joint bachelorette party. The property manager, Wil, was the most critical part of our experience—he was WONDERFUL! He went above and beyond with everything we asked for. Transfers, tours, private chef services! It is about a 3 hour ride from the airport and one of the bedrooms has a separate entrance outside of the home. The couple that stayed there preferred the privacy so it was perfect. All the rooms are spacious and well kept. We used the pool every evening...

"The service at Gaia Hotel was outstanding. Catalina and the entire team went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and well taken care of. They were attentive to every detail, helping us with booking tours, arranging transport, providing towels and coffee, and even organizing cooking classes. The views from both the pool and the restaurant were simply breathtaking. The property is tucked away in the jungle yet perched on a mountaintop overlooking the ocean, an incredibly unique and unforgettable setting.
