This home offers two private screened porches where you can relax after days spent enjoying the Florida sunshine. The open floor plan and the well-appointed kitchen will make you feel right at home, and the master suite on the main floor offers privacy and convenience. Within this gated community, you'll also have shared access to swimming pools, hot tubs, and grilling areas for hours of outdoor fun!

Birthday Beach Retreat at the Barefoot Cottages!!!

We brought our daughter and a few of her friends for a beach retreat for her 13th birthday. The house was great, the neighborhood and amenities were great, and the areas was beautiful! The Vacasa team was prompt and helpful during our stay and everything was smooth and easy!

Nice little cottage.

The cottage is tucked away in the back right corner of the property. There is a small pool across the circular parking lot. The bay/beach is a short walk away, with more beaches without the cape a short walk/bike/drive. A wonderful place. This is our third trip to Barefoot Cottages, and we have loved it every time.

Peaceful Getaway

The community was very friendly. Unit was excellent and as described. The hot tub was further away than expected, but we enjoyed the walk. Close to the beach and to downtown Port St Joe. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely book the unit again.

Beautiful right around the corner!

Barefoot Cottage was perfect for our group of 4! My husband and I had a room and bathroom downstairs to ourselves and my daughter and her friend had the whole upstairs. Everything was clean and in good working! 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was very nice too! Beautiful beaches right across the street. We traveled around from Mexico Beach, Windmark Cape San Blas, and St George Island all not very far from the property! Several great places to eat. The property is quiet and well maintained! We will definitely stay again in future visits.

Thanksgiving trip

Loved the house. Only problem was that I feel the house might have sat a little while between cleaning. A bit musty inside when we got there. But I opened up the windows to air out and it was fine. But the dryer wouldn’t stay on. So I had to go somewhere else to wash and dry our clothes. But other than those things it was a great house to stay at with my family! I would definitely rent it again in the future!

Dishwasher condition was terrible and stunk. Did not use it and hand washed dishes. It should be swapped out with new one. Bathroom door drags across vinyl plank floor and is damaging the floor. House is surrounded by swamp water and terrible mosquitos.

The house was nice, roomy,& cozy . Pretty clean ( except under the furniture ) however it’s not close to the public beach access at all. About a mile and a 1/2 away from it, and hopefully you don’t mind neighbors cause the houses are EXTREMELY close.

The home was spacious and comfortable, with two screened porches. It wasn’t as close to a sandy beach as I had assumed from the map - you definitely have to drive to go anywhere. Still, it had all the amenities we wanted and we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful time

We loved the layout. With a three bedroom unit, more dining room chairs are needed. There were only 4 chairs and three barstools. Liked having televisions in the bedrooms and having a washer and dryer to clean beach towels. We’ve been renting at Barefoot Cottages for many years and always have a great time. We also like the coded doors so everyone can have the code and we don’t have to keep track of keys.

GREAT home and location!

This home is everything you need at the beach-two large size screened patios, huge kitchen and living room, spacious bathrooms-everything-from furniture to granite countertops to the flooring- has been upgraded. The beds and linens were comfortable. We loved this gated neighborhood; very quiet, uncrowded and low key with two pools to choose from. The public beach was only a mile away; very easy to park and walk to the beach, and the location also had bathrooms. We normally stay on 30A and this was a nice change of pace-no traffic jams, uncrowded, great restaurants, and it was nice seeing 'old Florida' with all the undeveloped land and forest, both on the beach and right behind the neighborhood.
