Mold and fungus infected house with a very inpolite and far from helpful owner
Although the house lies in beautiful surroundings and has plenty of space, we were sad to find it in very bad shape. Several of the rooms are infected with mold and fungus, and the air is very dry. This is especially a problem in the groundfloor, which is inhabitable. This meant that we had to stay four people in one room.
In addition to the bad climate we were dissapointed that the proprety manager, Beatriz, was far from helpful. When we informed her of the climate problems she responded angrily and refused to provide any help despite the fact that we showed her several examples of the problems with fungus and mold. She did nothing to ease our stay and gave us the impression that she cared little for our experience and well-beeing despite the fact that we payed a larger fee to rent the house than originally informed in order to stay 8 people in the house.
The groundkeeper and cleaninglady as well as the house dog were all nice and friendly and the Azores is a beautiful place, that we can recommend to anyone. We can however not recommend staying in this house due to the unhealthy indoor climate and especially because of the poor treatment from Beatrize. Instead find another house and enjoy the beautiful islands.
