An amazing home
We loved this place so much—beautiful grounds and an elegant, characterful house. Peaceful at night, surrounded by vineyards, but convenient to Bergerac and the rest of the Dordogne Valley. The hosts were charming and wonderful and helped us immediately with any minor issues. I wish every property delivered so much value. Don't hesitate to stay here.

Beautiful and airy chateau in peaceful surroundings
Beautiful views, elegant rooms, tall ceilings, great bathrooms and well-equipped kitchen. The chateau oozes tranquility, light streams through wide shuttered windows and French doors, with far-reaching vistas across miles of vineyards. The sunsets are beautiful and the decor is trés chic. Béatrice and Francis are a delight, dropping off fruit from their orchards and very welcoming. They speak limited English but google translate worked wonders! Pomport is ideally placed for visiting beautiful villages and markets all over the Perigord. You need a car as the local shops are in Sigoulès, 3-4km away and walkable at a push. Several bakeries close by, but everything closed on Sundays so if you arrive on Saturday pick up enough food to get by until Monday. Bergerac airport is 15 minutes away and there’s a large Leclerc hypermarket very close to the airport - google maps takes you straight there. A lovely restful holiday setting, perfect for a couple of families or one group.

Une semaine de vacances en famille, ma femme et nos 2 enfants, ma mère, ma sœur et mon neveu, mes beaux-parents. La maison est superbe, grande, très grande, fonctionnelle et très bien équipée : il ne manque rien ! La piscine, le calme, la vue dégagée et les couchers de soleil... ce fût un régal. Dommage, une semaine c'est fabuleux mais court aussi. Nous avons pu visiter châteaux et villages alentours et bien sûr Bergerac à 15 minutes. MERCI aux propriétaires pour l'accueil et les conseils, merci pour le potager, les plantes aromatiques et les rafraîchissements à notre arrivée. Au plaisir de vous revoir. Pour ceux et celles qui me liront, un seul conseil : Allez-y.

Havre de paix
Grande bâtisse, bien agencée, volumes agréables qui favorisent le bien-être dans ces lieux. La vue sur les vignes, les champs et le calme permet de bien se ressourcer avec une terrasse et sa piscine naturelle . Les propriétaires sont adorables et serviables.

Un petit coin de paradis
Une demeure magnifique, propre et décorée avec goût qui offre une vue exceptionnelle sur les vignes et la campagne environnante. Les propriétaires des lieux sont adorables et de bons conseils. La Dordogne est une très belle région et la maison est très bien située: assez reculée pour profiter du calme mais proche des commodités ou lieux intéressants à découvrir. Nous recommandons vivement.

Une demeure magnifique dans un cadre exceptionnel
Nous avons passé une inoubliable semaine de vacances en famille avec nos enfants et petits-enfants dans cette demeure remarquable, meublée avec goût et parfaitement équipée. La piscine naturelle a été particulièrement appréciée ainsi que l'environnement (jardin, vignobles) et les jeux mis à disposition. Un séjour très agréable dans une magnifique demeure
Excellent séjour dans une magnifique maison pleine d’histoire et rénovée avec qualité et raffinement. Propriété spacieuse, très confortable, magnifiques chambres et salles de bain. Propreté irréprochable. Une maison où l’on se sent immédiatement bien. Immense cuisine hyper équipée. Très agréable piscine naturelle, terrasse ensoleillée parfumée par la lavande - et splendide coucher de soleil Francis et Béatrice sont des hôtes attentionnés, disponibles et chaleureux. Nous avons pu profiter du charme, du calme et des nombreux équipements de la propriété (table de ping-pong, pétanque). Nous reviendrons à la Gironie!!

Pleasant stay amongst vineyards.
Nice cottage in a beautiful setting of the Perigord. The arrival at La Gironie was a pleasant encounter with Mr and Mrs Pelletant, who keep a loving eye on their property. The propery is tidy, with correctly sized to even spacious bedrooms. The same holds for the bathrooms. The separate toilets are a practical bonus, especially when visiting with friends. The dining room annex kitchen is large but is missing some cosiness, so weather allowing we took all meals outside at the swimming pool. The kitchen itself is practical, sizeable and well equipped. There is a small salon, but too small to enjoy with our party. Back to the outside, the terras was enjoyable as mentioned, with a nice view, although a bit shielded by wind screens unfitting in the overall look when sitting at the table. We were fortunate with the weather, so a lot of time was spent there. The unheated pool is rather small, but is nice to dwell around. WiFi is acceptable in the salon and dining room area, but the extender does not cover most of the bedrooms. But isn’t that the idea of a holiday in the Perigord: to get away from it all? Summarizing: a lot of value for the price. We can definitley recommend the domaine La Gironie of Mr and Mrs Pelletant.
