"Probably my fault but I didn't realize deposit had to be in cash. So had to scramble to find ATM to get $300. Then checking out they doubled the cleaning fee on us. They didn't provide toilet paper or dish soap and had to go to the store to buy some. Would have been nice to know there was no toilet paper before going to the bathroom."

"Cottage is a days drive from England in North Loire region so not as well known. We had plenty to do visiting historical sites, old villages and wine tasting! It was very quiet and peaceful and the owner very helpfully marked a map with interesting places to visit. We were unaccustomed to en-suite arrangements formed by curtains"

"We spent two nights at the gites with a group of 20. We don't speak French, but we wanted to see Mont Saint Michel. The manager didn't speak English, so we had a communication problem from the beginning. "We are a 4 generation family that stayed 5 days and had the most wonderful time. The house comfortably accommodated 14 of us ranging in age from 2 - 79 years. The views are amazing and there is a large yard with a trampoline and swing set that entertained our younger ones for many hours. The 2 kitchens are well equipped and it is a nice walk to the lovely village. I highly recommend this rental."

"Vieux-Viel ist ein kleiner und sehr ruhiger Ort. Für uns war es als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Region ideal (Mont St. Michel, Avranche, St. Malo, Cancale, etc...).
