You can tell Keren is an interior designer. What really set this place apart, though, were the hosts. They were incredibly gracious and generous with their time, offering genuine hospitality and sharing the story of how they built the hotel. As we’re considering a move to Portugal ourselves, their insight into the process — the challenges, the rewards, and the local culture — was incredibly helpful and deeply appreciated. Ziv was always ready with great suggestions and recommendations for the area This is more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience. We left feeling inspired, well-fed, and extremely grateful. "Hotel São Bento is a beautiful hotel in a great location near Peneda-Gerês national park. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly, kind, and helped us in English to address our limited Portuguese vocabulary. The restaurant was delicious as well, and the nearby park has amazing viewpoints (miradouros), waterfalls (cascatas) and hiking. We would definitely come back and stay at this hotel again."
