DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! SHOULD NOT BE RENTED IN THE STATE IT IS IN.
Stained carpets everywhere. A soiled blanket left in one of the bedrooms. Sinks and tubs don’t drain properly. Hot tub was mirky. Kitchen not well stocked (no oil, no salt or spices, scrubbers to wash pots/pans), caked on food on some pots/pans. Texted multiple times to number on reservation and management kept saying they would address issues and update us but they never did. We didn’t even want to take our shoes off because the floors were so disgusting. No way this place should be rentable in the state it’s in and management needs to do a better job of handling customer issues. Very dissatisfied and disappointed stay.

Great Stay for family time at the beach
Overall, great place, great location, and clean. It had all the amenities you'd need for a family minus a few small things. The walk to the main beach in Pacific City is just a few minutes, but they have bikes and scooters which was very nice. This place has a kid bedroom with enough to sleep 5 children and they have their own bathroom! Nice common area and the kitchen was great for making your own meals. It has a small, but decent hot tub, and the propane grill worked great for grilling. The negatives are no master bathroom, not very well stocked (laundry soap, spices, paper towels, garbage bags, can opener), and many of the doors didn't seem to lock or latch (e.g. pocket door to the bathroom didn't latch so you had to hold it while going to the bathroom, and the main door barely closed). We would stay here again.

The location is perfect and the house had everything it needed (except coffee). Really appreciated the fact that the hose had warm water to rinse my kiddo off. Upstairs got a little warm but opening windows helped.

Very easy to rent. Great location. Was a little difficult with a disabled person in a wheelchair. However that was my fault for assuming it looked wc accessable. All in all would happily rent again.

Run from this place. They did not fix anything in previous reviews.
Unmaintained. Descriptions and photos are inaccurate. These photos are old or heavily edited. The house is on full display from the road and neighbors within arm's length on either side. No privacy, and no beach view. During our stay the dune-to-beach boardwalk was closed for repairs! Our first hour in the house, the TV would not work. Texted with Vacasa for a few minutes, gave up when they passed the buck to the maintenance guy. Then we discovered the broken dishwasher, the wrong filters and a missing piece for the coffee pot that made it un-usable, and no tea kettle to make due with. There were overflowing gutters and downspouts and four inches of water on the sidewalk between the front door and the car.in a downpour. Although that did eventually drain away, it caused us to reconsider retrieving items from our vehicle. Maintenance guy calls me the next morning, giving me a thousand excuses for things gone wrong. Asks me "how can I make it up to you?" Ha. You can't. I got one vacation, and I'm not spending it waiting on a maintenance man. Skylights in bedrooms for vacation rentals need shades. People sleep in on vacation. Not here. The flat and hard pillows made sleeping a struggle anyway. Swapping the Master Bedroom for the Children's room was a move only a non-parent would make. Not every child can handle the responsibility of a shower in their bedroom, and a vacation rental is a place where children of all types show up. Glad we had no children or dogs. Do not book this place. Vacasa needs to take it out of rotation and fix what is wrong.

Should have heeded the negative reviews
First impressions: dingy, dirty, & smelly (urine) Not sure when the last time this place was cleaned. Carpet: To say the carpet has stains, would be to undersell just how disgusting the carpet in this place is. It’s easier to find stains than places without stains. By the way the dog reacted, you’d have thought you entered a dog park where the point is for the dog to do their duty. The sign said “take off shoes” but we were unwilling to walk on this filth in our bare feet. We bought a pet stain remover spray at the store to deal with a few particular spots upstairs that the dog was very interested in, and the rag immediately turned BLACK from the amount of dirt on/in the carpet. Microwave: not sure when the last time this filthy beast was cleaned. At some point someone spilled coffee that is literally baked into the track of the rotating tray. Stovetop: it’s a glass stovetop and the glass is broken with cracks running across the burners and a piece of the glass is actually missing. This is a HAZARD! Ceiling: I have no clue what is splattered all over the living room ceiling. Dust: Every flat surface is dusty. There is sand on the chair rail height trim. Along the windows, bookcases, and railings in the stairwell, the dust is as much as ⅛ to ¼ inch deep. Hot tub: the hot tub had sand on the bottom (bad guest for not cleaning their feet), but it wasn’t cleaned out before re-renting. Instead, it was loaded with the strongest smelling chlorine you’ll ever notice. Make sure to take a shower afterwards to wash off the chlorine if you dare to take a dip. If you were looking to buy this place, the inspector would tell you that there are a lot of issues caused by “deferred maintenance” - standard upkeep maintenance that has not been performed. Kitchen lights: the lights in the kitchen barely come on enough to be useful and flicker the entire time they are on. Downspouts: the gutters on the back of the house are overflowing due to plugged downspouts. The puddling is causing has the potential to wash out the foundation and damage the roof. There is some fault in the management company for not doing a better job, BUT the level to which they clean and maintain is determined by the money the owner is willing to pay Vacasa. Based on responses to previous reviews by Vacasa, the owner indicated to them that they would personally handle some of these issues but never did. DO NOT REWARD AN ABSENTEE LANDLORD

Details Matter
Appreciate the home basics: location, hot tub, layout, plenty of towels, dishes and silverware, and dog friendly. Unfortunately there were a lot of little things that added up and affected our stay. And, could have/can be easily addressed by ownership. The owner needs to walk the property and take stock of these things-especially moving into high season: master bed had no bed springs (super low and getting out of bed would hurt back of legs), can opener not working, door locks need to be explained, pillows not good, bunk bed wobbly (wakes up the other person sleeping), many light bulbs out, burner not working on stove, only 1 chair on back porch (2 in garage that could be moved), no instructions on using TV, shade on skylights (very bright/very early), chair pillows ripped. all and all at the rates we paid, we expected a bit more in the detail department.

We were able to get together with our kids and grandkids for first time since September. Wonderful house for 6 people. We did have a bit of an issue with the door locks but figured them out. Oven door handle fell off on one side but we fixed it. Fireplace and hot tub were great!

Sea la vie weekend
The stay over all was pleasant, good location, not far away from the beach. The only issue was that there is no actual master bedroom, the owners transformed it to kids room, so the adults had no private bathroom. Also there were no plastic food wrap, aluminum foil or parchment paper in the kitchen. No spices either... -just FUI for future guest :)

Beach front Property.
Renting this house was very easy no hassle. Checking in was done all on line. Very easy. The only 2 things I found where a bit disappointing was one the propane for the fire place was empty. Also the BBQ propane was empty. The second most disgusting part was someone put most all the dishes back full of food still in them. The person hid theses dishes or the cooking pots and pans so no one could see it unless they where going to use them. Very disturbing to us all as we had to wash everything before cooking. Other then this the property was very nice and clean. Comfy beds too. Would like to stay here again.

Not what I expected.......
The door to the back patio did not lock, had to have someone come adjust it. The rail on the bunk bad was about to fall off. The carpet was filthy. There was a odor when you walked in the house that was terrible and needed to be aired out right when we arrived. Would not rent or recommend this particular property again.

Beautiful location
The home is in a lovely location with only a short walk to the beach. Hot tub was nice. Town home was set up nice but in need of some TLC. Kitchen was missing a few necessities but otherwise very functional. My poor review comes from the lack of attention to the carpets. Even though we appreciate the dog friendly accommodations, the multiple urine stains throughout the house was a turn off. Getting carpets shampooed more frequently would make this place a really awesome place to stay! We probably won't go back to this home for this reason alone.

Good Location, Home a Little Worn Out & Poor Cleaning
The home is in Shorepine Village which means it is nice and close to the beach and easy to get to the Pelican Brew Pub, pizza place and market. So, that is the good! The home was not very clean when we got into it. The kitchen table was not wiped down, or not very well and the floors didn't seem like they got a good vacuuming. The BBQ grill needed a good cleaning/burn off as it looked to well used by the previous renters. The grill itself, a nice Weber gas grill, didn't have its automatic igniter system working so I had to go get matches to light the grill. The couch in the main living is a bit on the worn side so sitting on it for a length of time might get a bit uncomfy as the cushions are not as fluffy as they were at one time. The carpet up the stairs were a bit worn as well. Big thumbs up on the hot tub! All, in all, it was a good rental, not great. For the money, was expecting the condition of the place to be better than it was.

Great Property, but watch the fees!!!
This is a very nice duplex and the rental cost per night is certainly appropriate, but the side fees are a killer. Be aware of the many line items that easily double the cost of the rental: Pet fee, hot tub fee, service fee, booking fee, cleaning fee, taxes,......
