"Very quiet and low lit area - perfect for stargazing. No WiFi so the kids stayed off their devices and enjoyed watching the chickens roam around freely. My little boy even got to help feed some which he thought was brilliant. Mary and her husband are top class hosts! Would definitely recomendthis place to anyone who wants a quiet rural getaway. "

"We booked for a special occasion and the cottage was perfectly located to walk to our venue - Ely Cathedral. The cottage was lovely and clean with everything we needed. My only regret is that the weather prevented us from seeing the cottage in the warm sunshine. The owners were wonderfully helpful when we had a little hiccup with the hot water - coming over to help despite it being a Friday night. Thank you to them. "I was disappointed not to have received the instructions to gain access to the keys, and was very relieved that the host answered my call when we arrived. She sounded surprised, as if we weren't expected! Property is a good size but we were only a party of 4, with only 2 bathrooms (only 1 shower) it would be quite busy if all 11 beds were occupied! The water is very hot!! Fabulous garden, great hot tub, we had a lovely stay. Thanks"

"The Stables is a charming and spacious property. We were thrilled to find it beautifully decorated for Christmas and an amazing basket of goodies/treats that we enjoyed throughout our stay. We were disappointed to find many of the light bulbs burned out or nonfunctional, leaving no lighting in the main hallway. "A newly renovated property situated in a small village offering comfort and welcome for our family holiday. A spacious and well stocked kitchen with good amenities. The garden and patio area were perfect for evening drinks and dining with comfortable patio furniture. The house contained all we needed for an excellent week and is close to many attractions and within easy reach of beaches."

"The house is very spacious and well equipped. The spiral staircase up to the two bedrooms is very steep and narrow, this could prevent some less able people accessing this area. It is too steep for younger children without very close supervision. The location of the house is very peaceful, great for a relaxing time together."

"Lovely modern cosy house in centre of Gayton village, close to the local pub. Everything was provided and we immediately felt at home (as did the dog who loved the garden). Great communication with the owner and everything was super easy to gain access. Close to King's Lynn and less than an hour from the beach at Well-Next-The-Sea. Even a disused windmill in the village, that is someone's lovely home! Recommended"

"Had a wonderful time catching up with family at Kestrel Barn. Whole property finished to a very high standard, hot tub a win and the best array of kitchen utensils ever! Comfortable beds, hot showers, cosy sofa and a great location."

"Only spent a couple of nights here but could definitely have stayed longer. Cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The owners are really helpful and none intrusive. Complimentary wine and fresh bread are a lovely touch.(bread definitely a winner) Property is very handy for Ely and Cambridge. Use the park and ride for Cambridge. It's good value and cheaper than parking in the centre."

"The overall stay at the location was nice and pleasant. Communication between customers and owner was basic. The building of stay was a good size and plenty of room to move about without being on top of eachother. The decor was outdated and requires upgrades in places. Cleanliness was poor in places so ended up cleaning ourselves. The big let down of property was the poor WiFi signal which was not spoke about in there general advertising discription. We would go back and hope to find the...

"This is a lovely, spacious and well-appointed house. It was too hot to make best use of the duvets, but the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery - and a dishwasher to avoid the washing up. The powered recliners were especially welcome after a day of much walking. Naturally there is quite a lot of farm activity in the area, but it was far enough away not to be intrusive, and the people on the farm were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a property to remember."
