"Totally unique off grid experience smack in the middle of the jungle. Think tiny house meets summer camp! Misty, the property host, gave an excellent introduction to the property and amenities. Her knowledge of flora and fauna enhanced our experience. Don’t worry about trading comfort for rural retreat. Our bedroom cabin was super clean, warm, appointed with quality linens and towels, and worked well for the four of us. This is a must do experience you won’t stop thinking about."

"We enjoyed this unique property, especially the deck in the morning and evening. The stray cats were sweet and my daughter really liked having them around. Only issue was with the showers. The outdoor closed in shower was very hot and unable to change the temp; the indoor shower was chilly and the other outdoor shower ‘one with nature’ was just right. Other than that, the property was as described."

"Truly different experience especially for people who come from a city. We came home early every day so we can shower in the “jungle” watching the rain and hearing frogs. "It’s in an unpaved road it looks really runs down like they made huts/rooms on a piece of land the pools looks unsanitary when I first looked at the picture for an entire unit it looked like I was getting everything in one house all connected but it’s not this place is like a community use and very private at all"

The road into the property was full of potholes, the canvas car canopy was loaded with black mold (that was near the open bathroom window,) the bathroom floor had large cracks in it (we could see the dirt beneath the cottage,) the shower ran hot/cold, the kitchen chairs were hard. "Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava).
