The grounds of Basing House are great... so save your visit for a sunny day. The old barn is the biggest in the South of England, and still has some awesome cannonball damage from the English civil war. Be sure to check out the cannon at the top of the hill (aimed at Basingstoke town centre) and the stunning Wadworth pub near the entrance of near the entrance to the car park! Beer o'clock!

"Alice was an exceptional host. The property was clean, well furnished and in a lovely quiet location. Transport was easy with parking provided. 5* to the property! The only issue I had was mobile signal but this obviously isn't an issue with the place or host!"

"Excellent staff go out of their way to deal with your requests. Rooms looking a little tired in places. Maybe should have warned us before arrival that a wedding was taking place and the impact it would have on common areas. Breakfast buffet was fantastic."
