"We were hosted by a welcoming farm couple to the upstairs bedroom and private bathroom in their home. Beautiful farm village just 5 minutes drive from the town of St James where we could shop. We were treated to breakfast in the morning in their front dining room overlooking their garden. Beautiful rural farm experience."

"Very clean and friendly hosts"

"We stayed here for one night after arriving earlier in Cherbourg. The property was easily found using a sat nav. The owner, Roger, was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with refreshments available. Having asked prior to our arrival, we had a fantastic 3 course evening meal expertly prepared and presented by his young chef Brenda. Breakfast in the morning was a continental offering with the option of freshly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs. Everything was spot on....

"Veronique was a great host - nothing seemed to much trouble. Our room was spacious and well laid out. Breakfast in her kitchen (as it was raining) gave us a chance to 'chat' with her good English and our poor French - great fun!"

"We spent 3 days in the "cowshed" room at Le Bois Gautier. The accommodation was very spacious with a full kitchen and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We received a warm welcome from the new owner Bill who had prepared a log fire for our arrival, this made the accommodation very cosy and was a great touch. Bill had also brought some snacks/breakfast for us. The place was gorgeous, and very quiet, being in the middle of the countryside. It is located about 30 min drive from the scenic town...

"Single beds in large room were very firm and one creaked with every movement, We had no idea that building was either a gite or a B & B. When the latterthe kitchen/living area is shared with others. We left all our electronic and other things in this area while out the evening we arrived and were surprised to be joined by another guest in the morning! Host was helpful and courteous but as we speak very little French it was hard to chat.Property is beautifully presented and fitted out overall."

"Not easy to find. Located inside a botanical garden. A must see. Spacious room,very clean. An elevator gives you access to upper floor.Very nice staff. Excellent breakfast with crêpes and pancakes. For dinner we recommend Le Galon Ar Breish inside the BestWestern in Fougeres."
