"Warm cosy and comfortable property with 'character' and in a good location for visiting Vézelay and area. Renovated and modernised inside to a good standard, with pleasant outdoor seating areas. Bring your own teapot if you need one! A useful bread van comes 3 times a week with baguettes. Nearest village shops (in St Père) are about a 10 minute drive. Neither our 'school' French nor the owners' English was good so the booking process via the web site emails wasn't easy. The whole booking process...

"This is a great location if you want to get away from the bustle of the city. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very cosy. A couple of benefits that hadn't jumped out in the listing include the toilet being separate from the shower, and a washing machine and drier. Penelope was really helpful and answered our questions quickly. "Adequate for 2 but with such limited table space in the kitchen/living space we couldn't see how 3 or 4 people could manage. No wardrobe in main bedroom and wardrobe in second bedroom had very little hanging space. Each of the 3 rooms had airconditioning but no means of switching it on. On sweltering days it would have been very welcome"

"Large property perfect for large groups. Easy to cater with plenty of equipment Large pool and wonderful gardens. Security and privacy were an issue with interior doors not closing properly and keys and locks not working. The host did send a locksmith to fix some of the problems. Beds and bedding a little tired . With some better maintenance on this property it could be perfect."

"This apartment was well situated to easily walk through Chablis. It was very clean and had good amenities. No breakfast is served; but we picked up berries, yogurt the night before, and walked to get baguette/pastries in the morning, as the French do! This was a very quiet place to stay, despite being on a main road in town. This is definitely a place to stay! "
