Dirty and falling apart
We NEVER even moved in. It was so dirty and cluttered that my family, who were gathering for my father's funeral, refused to stay there, and we ended up staying at the Residence Inn. The bannisters were falling off the wall, and our long-term 97 yo friend could have died trying to go up the steps. It was the consensus of all of my family that this was completely inadequate -- unclean and unsafe. The photos that you have on VRBO are completely misleading. And whoever was supposedly paid to clean the place did a HORRIBLE job. It was dusty and dirty. The dishes were dirty. The path to the front door was lined by a bunch of dead plants. The steps upon entering had numerous exposed carpet tacks with residual carpet, and the steps themselves needed to be painted. If I could attach photos, I would, but we do have PLENTY of them. An interior designer friend of ours said that if she had a week, she could have done something with the house, but we didn't have a week, and it shouldn't have been up to us to do this.
We would like a refund.
