Hibernia Stay

Historical Building and well maintained. Rooftop pool and gym were very nice. This was our first time staying in the business district and will be our destination for all future trips. Perfect proximity to just about all that New Orleans has to offer.

We enjoyed the rooftop deck but we wish it stayed open later. I lost my handbag and management was very helpful to me. Apartment is very spacious. The only thing missing from is a dresser for storing clothes. Kitchen well equipped. Thank you for a lovely week in NOLA.

Better communication.

To be honest, the only issue we had was not knowing if the process of entering the building, getting to the room and how to get into the room. We had no idea about the key fob. It was not left in the room and didn’t know to ask for one. Other than that, the room was perfect, the hotel itself was iconic, and the pool was amazing! Location was perfect too! Definitely would recommend.

Unit Code compromised

At 5am Saturday we were woken to find an intruder in the unit!! He was standing in front of the bedroom door and he appeared to be drunk or high and kept repeating someone gave him the code to the room and the code to the building. We got him out of the unit fairly quickly but still horrifying. We immediately tried to reach out to the property host to inform that the code had apparently been compromised and we needed a new one issued. That never happened. They said they’d call to discuss the incident, but no one ever called us or issued a new unit code. As a result, my husband blocked the door using a chair the next night with the fear that this could happen again! Thinking back, we may have honestly forgotten to lock the door because haphazardly we assume smart locks auto lock within a couple minutes but regardless-horrifying. While the host did communicate with us a few times, he never changed the unit smart lock code after we requested this several times. During one correspondence, he even asked if we asked the intruder what his code was!! We informed the host that “no, we did not engage at that level.” We suggest the following: Make sure you change the code between guests. Provide a secondary lock on the door. Return call or texts to your guests & attend to their requests. I realize this is VRBO and not an actual hospitality professional but still expected more. Outside of that, we really liked the location and the unit is spacious and comfortable.
