"Good basic hotel across from the train station in Titisee. Free parking was helpful, and it was in walking distance to the Badeparadis. The included breakfast was good and well stocked. Note that there are rooms on the fourth floor and there is no lift, so that can be a slog. The rooms are traditional and a bit beaten around the edges, but fine — the only thing we missed were curtains for the window in the sitting room / bathroom area (or a door to close it off) so the early sun through the ceiling window wouldn’t wake us.
My main complaint was check-in. The hotel badgers you twice a day for a week before your stay to do online check-in. I did it, and when I turned up at their check-in machine (there is no staffed reception), none of what you entered in online check-in has been noted and you have to enter it ALL, all over again. Very odd and annoying system."
