"Loved this quaint cottage tucked away from hustle and bustle. Ideal for our short stay and plenty to do and see close by. Lovely walks for the dog. Town of Ulverston has lots to see and plenty of history. Beach at Roadhead was very quiet amd sunset beautiful. Ideal location to see other parts of the lakes. Travelled by train from Haverthwaite upto Windermere."

"Great place to stay, we have been coming to the lakes for years, this is the best accommodation we have stayed in windermere."

"This is our second visit to Pottery Gate and yet again the cottage was perfect and absolutely immaculate throughout. Excellent location for all the pubs, restaurants and lovely walks in the sunshine. As always nothing was too much trouble for Ross. Friendly and professional as always. Looking forward to our next stay with Tarn and Fell escapes in January."

"Short stay in Lake District, Windermere was a good base to explore. Property is very central and very cosy, perfect for accommodating 2 or 3 people. Cutlery dishes and mugs were not properly washed ( greasy); Parking is free, but quite challenging due to tight passage and little room for manouvering unless you have a small car. Beautiful scenery, and weather no too bad for Spring time so overall a very pleasant stay"

"It had everything we needed bedding etc was clean. The oven wasn't clean before we got there and toilet brushes needed throwing. Apart from that couldn't fault it it was lovely."

"The cottage is charming and perfect for our visit to the Lake District. Stuart (the host) was informative and quick with responses. Would definitely stay here again our next visit to the area!"

"Just had a great stay at the Derwentwater Hotel and great staff and service. In particular a huge thanks to Ronnie and Amy who went out of their way to take time and assist us getting to a local wedding when all other taxi firms were unavailable due to storms and road closures.. Having excellent staff and friendly check in made the stay enjoyable and we will be returning to the hotel again. Fully recommend this hotel. Thanks all. "
