Das Haus, die Außenanlagen, der Pool, der Whirlpool alles war sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Jeder Raum ist mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Der Pool ist größer als man es anhand der Fotos vermutet. Die Außenküche mit Grill, Kühlschrank und Waschbecken hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wurde viel genutzt. Der Kontakt mit Carmen war überaus freundlich und zuverlässig. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Einzig und allein die Anfahrt zum Haus, welche ja schon mehrfach als beschwerlich beschrieben wurde, hat auch uns anfangs etwas herausgefordert, aber man gewöhnt sich bekanntlich an alles. Wir können das Haus von Carmen auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

What a fantastic property this is. We had a brilliant week here with 3 kids aged 9, 7 and 3. Carmen was super helpful for checking in. The views are amazing. Swimming pool with slide and hot tub were great. Brilliant BBQ with huge table under cover. The location a bit out of the town was exactly what we wanted. We would recommend this to everyone!

Absolutely incredible property - stunning, spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and with amazing views. I cannot recommend it enough. All facilities are in excellent working order and the owner is easily contactable for any issues. Everything you need is available at the property including cutlery, a coffee machine, pots and pans, BBQ materials, a hair dryer and more. We hope to return again soon (in sha Allaah)!

Great views and hot tub

Very clean and comfortable. Great pool and hot tub. Excellently maintained outdoor space with outdoor kitchen area, BBQ, table tennis and pool.Steep drive up to the house but easy once you know how. 10 minute drive from Nerja, definitely need a car here.Would definitely stay here again.

Heerlijk huis

Accès avec pente à 25/30 pour cent qui a cassé mon embrayage de voiture. Jacuzzi dépourvu de système de chauffage. Je porte donc cette tromperie par omission auprès du service des fraudes français. Si l'annonce avait ete correcte je n'aurais jamais retenu cette villa. n'auraisretretenu cette

Amazing Summer Holiday

What a great holiday! Superb Villa, beautiful Villa with beautiful valley and Mountain View’s. Great pool, and with a table tennis table and pool table there’s plenty to do. Outside seating and bbq area excellent. Nerja is a short drive away and stunning. Hosts were very responsive whenever needed, would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Fantastisk ophold

Vi var yderst tilfredse med opholdet. Alle forventninger blev indfriet. Der var meget rent og huset var udstyret med alle de ting man har brug for. Området var roligt og der var en fantastisk udsigt. Vi kan klart anbefale dette sted. Mange tak for et skønt ophold, vi kommer tilbage.

Fabulous property with fantastic outdoor space - slightly remote.

This property is very well presented, decorated and all facilities are provided. The outdoor space is fantastic very spacious, with a pool that is bigger than the picture shows which is a bonus, a jacuzzi, pool table, table tennis, outdoor kitchen with dining area, dining area at the front, plenty of seating from sun loungers to benches to a hammock and a swing chair. The only reason this property doesn’t get a 5 from us is that it is remote - there is nothing within walking distance so you have to drive everywhere. The driveway an approach to the property is very steep takes a few attempts to get the hang of it.

Paradijsje met uitzicht op de bergen

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Cortijo de Carmen. Het is nog mooier dan op de foto’s. We kwamen ‘s avonds laat aan en er stond een mooi fruit/ontbijt pakket klaar zodat we niet meteen boodschappen hoefde te doen. Ook hebben we genoten van de pooltafel en tafeltennistafel. Rondom het huis was een groot terras met diverse zitjes.De bar voor de koffie met uitzicht op de bergen, de ligstoelen bij het zwembad, de tafel voor het ontbijt in het zonnetje en een eettafel bij de buitenkeuken. Binnen in het huis was het heel compleet en sfeervol ingericht. En ook de keuken was meer dan compleet uitgerust. Helaas hadden we maar voor een weekje geboekt, we wilden er nog wat langer van genieten!

Séjour inoubliable

Couple de trentenaire avec deux enfants pour les vacances d’avril. Maison et extérieur magnifique. Propreté irréprochable, tout le nécessaire à disposition. Nous avons passé une semaine magique. La piscine, les jeux de billard, de ping-pong, les espaces repas et détente, la vue… Tout était parfait ! Un grand merci encore pour la gentille attention à notre arrivée : une belle corbeille bien garnie de fruits, de gâteau, café thé, etc. Communication fluide et réactive. La route d’accès peut faire un peu peur au début, on s’y fait vite et ça vaut tellement le coup ! Un petit bémol pour le jacuzzi non chauffé. Nous recommandons grandement !

Hidden Gem

Hidden in the mountains but only 10 mins from Nerja this place is amazing. We have been before and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend if your looking for a secluded villa with everything you could need to keep the family happy for the week.

Maison au calme

Bon séjour chez Carmen, avec un accueil très sympathique. La maison est propre avec une literie confortable et au calme. Attention tout de même, car la maison est dans une zone rurale avec un accès par un chemin d’environ 2km avec beaucoup de dénivelé (jusqu’à 25-30% sur les 200 derniers mètres). Il manquerait juste des plats pour utiliser le four, sinon vous aurez tout ce qu’il faut chez Carmen. La vue est magnifique !

Perfect Holiday Home

The property is lovely. It was spotless and clearly very well taken care of and loved by the owners. It has literally every you could want in terms of basic needs such as utensils etc... and it also has plenty to offer in terms of entertainment with the table tennis and pool table. The pool was great, warm water and a pleasure to take a dip in on hot days. The pool is quite deep with no real shallow end, so something to be mindful of if you have small children. As many of the reviews say, the road up to the house can seem a little extreme and the final bit up to the gate can be daunting at first, but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. It is certainly not something that should put you off this amazing home. The owners were attentive and reacted quickly to questions. Overall, a superb place to stay and we'd no reservations about staying here again.

Heerlijke vakantie in een mooi vakantiehuis!

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Alles was prima in orde, er stond zelfs een schaal vol fruit voor ons klaar. Het huis is niet groot, maar zeer volledig en comfortabel ingericht. De buitenruimte is heel groot; verschillende terrassen, veel zitjes, een heerlijk zwembad, pooltafel en tafeltennistafel…… we hebben het ontzettend naar onze zin gehad! Leuke omgeving, veel verschillende activiteiten ondernomen. Enige minpunt is de koude jacuzzi. Helaas alleen bubbelen, maar dat is in koud water toch minder aantrekkelijk…… Verder was alles helemaal goed!

Lovely rural getaway

The property is in the hills around Nerja so an SUV is useful to access the property. Carmen is a great host who met us at the nearby petrol station to escort us to the property on the first day. The property was immaculately clean and the pool table and table tennis table were in good condition. The pool was thoroughly enjoyable, despite the weather being chillier. Our only issue was with the hot tub which is not heated and is just a spa tub - this was a surprise as on a search on VRBO it listed it as a hot tub - not the property owners fault.

What a find!

Just back from a fantastic week at Carmen's beautiful property! The location was absolutely perfect for us - only 10 mins away from Nerja and everything this lovely town has to offer, but in a very scenic and peaceful location. The property itself is very comfortable indeed and immaculately clean. We were looking for a relaxing week and spent much of the time at the cottage - played lots of pool and made great use of the pool and slide - loved by kids and adults alike! The outside area is stunning - incredible views and plenty of space. We also made good use of the BBQ and lovely eating areas at both the front and back of the property. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and only a short drive away which suited us perfectly and allowed us to balance exploring and sightseeing, with lots of down time at the property. We visited Frigliana a couple of times for lovely lunches, explored the coastline and the town of Nerja. The visit to the caves was a must and not to be missed. Carmen was very helpful in the run up to our arrival and we were super grateful that she and her husband met us just off the A7 and led us to the cottage. It would have been really tricky in the dark the first time and that was much appreciated. We picked up a few essential groceries at the meeting point which had a garage and a mini market, but Carmen had left a wonderful basket with fruit, water, milk, bread etc which was more than enough to get you going. Thank you so much Carmen for your very warm welcome and sharing your home. We hope to be back very soon and can't imagine staying anywhere else when we come back to Nerja!

Lovely villa

As with the other reviews, the first journey to the villa is an experience but, once there the views are beautiful and a perfect villa for a friends get together. It provides everything you need and the BBQ and pool area is a great space. Carmen is a lovely host and the fruit basket is a nice touch, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
