The Space:
Macquarie River View by Tiny Away in Narromine, just a 4-hour drive from Canberra and close to Dubbo City, the renowned Dubbo Zoo, and Black Tambourine. It’s a peaceful countryside retreat and is one of the relaxing holiday homes located next to a historic Cobb & Co station.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower for hot showers.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note the farm uses bore water, as expected in a rural area. We recommend bringing your own drinking water.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and its surroundings, except for the hosts' private residence. We recommend noting the exact location, as there are no marked paths.

The Neighborhood:
Macquarie River View by Tiny Away is 40 minutes from Dubbo, in the quiet town of Narromine. It’s just 10 km from the town centre – a short bike ride to cafes, pubs, and parks. Once you’ve settled in, spend your days enjoying river fishing, a relaxing game of lawn bowls, or a fascinating trip to the aviation museum.
If you want to explore more while enjoying good food, Soul Food Depot & Gallery serves homemade meals. Nearby, The Narromine Pub and Imperial Tavern offer fresh dishes, and friendly service. Dubbo Zoo, formerly Western Plains Zoo, is home to many exotic animals and fun attractions.
For history lovers, Old Dubbo Gaol began as a courthouse jail in 1847 and now offers “After Dark Tours” about prison life. Cobb & Co started in the early 1850s during the gold rush as a mail service. Today, it’s a popular scenic route between Grandchester and Toowoomba through the farming areas of the Lockyer Valley.
Getting Around:
By car:
- From Narromine, turn at the inland petroleum and head out the Old Warren Rd past the golf club.
- Then, on your left keep the Macquarie River on your right for 10.92 km. On your right, you will enter over a ramp and your destination is 200 metres ahead of you past Narromine's old Cob & Co house under renovations.

By public transport:
- 40 min drive from Dubbo Airport
- Guests can take a 40-minute flight from Sydney to Narromine
- There is a 7-hour bus ride once a day that travels to neighbouring Dubbo, where you can transfer to Narromine on a 40-minute bus ride leaving morning and night. Taxi service is available in Narromine that can take you to and from the accommodation located 10 km from the town.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home or outdoors
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

- Please be safe around the river and never go out alone
- When going out, please inform land host, especially near the river
- Due to farm setting, CHILDREN ARE WELCOME UNDER CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION

- Gas BBQ and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban from
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
